We've got some gorgeous ideas for fall and Halloween home decor today. All of these projects combine beautiful Graphic 45, Petaloo and Xyron products. You can see how perfectly they all blend together to create a perfect work of art. Here is Susan's fabulous Typography altered mini mailbox. All the saturated colors of fall come to life in this delightful creation. We also love how Susan added lots of pretty Graphic 45 Metal Staples and Petaloo flowers to add brilliant depth and texture to this festive piece. Here is what she had to say about it.
"I altered this mini mailbox with the lovely new Graphic 45 Typography papers, along with some Graphic 45 Staples, lovely Petaloo flowers in complementary colours and intricate Gina Designs Chipboard. I love that the Typography collection has plenty of my favorite images to fussy cut - typewriters, inks, pen nibs, ink wells… the list is endless. And as I was designing, I discovered that the image ‘LETTER’ fits perfectly inside a Staples Ornate Metal Label Holder. How perfect for my mailbox." -Susan

Here is another super fun project for fall and Halloween. This is Denise's bright and beautiful countdown calendar featuring Steampunk Spells. This is such a great way to get creative and have lots of fun this Halloween! Countdown the days until candy time with this fabulous calendar that's loaded with lots of pretty Petaloo flowers and Xyron adhesives. Crafting is a breeze when you're working with such amazing products! Create one for yourself or someone you love with Denise's fun tutorial! Take it away, Denise!
"As a kid I used to countdown the days until I got to trick-or-treat! Dreaming of all that candy was worth dressing up for (which I hated to do). I decided to create my own little calendar using Steampunk Spells 8x8 Pad and a Graphic 45 Easel Album to help me countdown the week. Each day just flip one more page until you end up on October 31st! I embellished using tons of Petaloo flowers, they go amazing with Graphic 45. I also created a little step out on how to prep the album for decorating and even included the countdown number poem for you to print off" -Denise
Supplies:
Graphic 45 8x8 Steampunk Spells Paper Pad
Steampunk Spells Stickers, Letters and Chipboard 1 and 2
Graphic 45 Metal Staples Door Knob
Petaloo Fancy Trims Paprika and Teal
Darjeeling Mini Daisies Black & Grey, Paprika and Teal
Darjeeling Petites Black and Cream
Darjeeling Dahlias Black & Grey and Teal
Wild Blossoms Paprika
Hydrangeas Black and Cream
Petaloo Color Me Crazy Chipboard:
Gates
Gears
Xyron:
Clearsnap Pigment Ink Wicked Black
Clearsnap Embossing Powder Dazzling Copper
Prima Finnabar Vintage Trinkets
Steampunk Doily Black
Steampunk Shape Set
Stickers- Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus Glitter Elements
Tutorial:
1- Start by marking 3 inches down from the base of the binding holes-then mark a line
2- Continue down marking each page of your Easel Album at one half inch increments (3.5, 4, 4.5 …)
3- Cut each page and save the trimmings
4- Your Easel Album should look like this
5-Now choose your own Steampunk Spells pages from an 8x8 Pad- reserving the Steampunk Spells page (shown) for the last page of the countdown. Cut each page at the same increments as the base pages (3, 3.5, 4…)
6- Attach to each base page using Xyron Creative Station or Mega Runner-you want solid adhesive here as the project stands up
7- If you want to conserve paper- you can double up with scraps
8- Attach final page to back of Easel Album- note you will have to trim ⅛ of an inch or so off the top to make sure binding holes show through
9- I then attached my Petaloo Fancy Trims with Xyron High Tack Double Sided Tape to create my base pages, and now friends it’s up to you to decorate each page!
10- I included a downloadable jpeg for you to print out my Countdown Numbers
11- After I was done, I realized my Album was a little heavy-so I took some of my scrap that I cut off earlier and made an easel support. I also took another piece covered and cut it to 3x8
12- I attached the 3x8 covered piece (show here from the bottom) and attached it to right at the base fold of the easel using white glue-so I could be closed up after the holiday.
We hope you all had a lot of fun on today's blog hop with Graphic 45, Petaloo and Xyron! Be sure to leave us a blog comment today for your chance to win that amazing prize pack!
