Next we have another gorgeous treasure that's just perfect for Halloween and fall. Here is Clare's fabulous altered basket that's all decked out in our Happy Haunting collection. Pretty Petaloo flowers and Xyron adhesives add so much beauty to this festive project. This lovely basket is great for storing treats and other fun treasures. Get inspired to create your own decorative basket by following Clare's fun tutorial instructions. You're going to love it! Take it away, Clare!
This project was really fun to put together. I thought I’d work with the autumnal yellows orange and green papers from Graphic 45s Happy Haunting collection to compliment the gorgeous fall coloured Petallo flowers and leaves that I’d picked out for the project.
Task
one was to colour the edges of each of the MDF basket. I used Vintage Photo distress ink and
got in a right mess lol. It all
washed off though.
Then using each piece as a pattern I cut out the papers for each and using Xyron Double Sided High Tack Tape I decorated each piece.
It
was easy to assemble as all the pieces slot together really easily. I just had to be careful not to push
holes in the papers that cover the outside pieces.
Once
assembled I added the flowers and leaves to each lid using Xyron high tack adhesive
dots . To finish I added some
ornate metal key holes, ornate
metal label holders with sentiments in and some black brads. I also added a flower and two
ornate metal keys on each side of the basket for a little extra detail.
All
I have to do now is eat the grapes, fill
with chocolates and hide it from the children. ;)
Supplies:
Happy Haunting 12 x 12 papers
Happy Hauntings Alphabet Stickers
Petaloo Darjeeling Flowers and leaves
Xyron Double Sided High Tack Tape
Xyron High Tack Adhesive Dots
Want2Scrap black adhesive gems
MDF Chocolate Basket (Pink Tulip Creations UK)
Vintage Photo Distress Ink

We should do these blogs in early summer since autumn is so short a season. I'll start now for sketching ideas for next year's lines.
