Tutorial:
There are many ways to decorate such rings using empty rolls. This is how I decorated them.
How utilize scraps of paper.
You will need an empty foil roll.
You need to divide it into required number of sections and mark them with a pencil.
Cut along the lines with a craft knife
Smooth the edges using Stampin' Sanding Block
Apply double-sided tape on the entire rings surface.
Cut many strips of paper. Here you are able to use your scraps of paper.
Glue down strips on the rings. While gluing down
you will need to leave some space between the strips.
The space between paper strips is sticky due to
double sided tape. Sprinkle some embossing powder in these spaces. The powder
will stick only to places where there is double-sided tape.
If you can not do embossing you may fill in the empty spaces with paint liner or liquid pearls.
Apply glossy accents or any glossy or 3D medium to paper strips.
If you wish you may add the embellishments of your
choice.
Cut solid colored strip of paper and attach it
inside the ring using double-sided tape.
Now we have a nice decoration for our table.
As our napkin ring is covered with embossing powder and glossy accents it is protected against moisture and soiling and will last s long time.
We hope you all had a lot of fun on today's very special blog! We will have more gorgeous sneak peeks to share with you on tomorrow's blog. Don't forget to leave us a blog or Facebook comment today for your chance to win that Couture prize pack. We will announce 4 more randomly chosen winners tomorrow!
