And now it's time for some gorgeous Couture crafts from Diane's workshop. You are going to love these elegant ideas! This little sewing box would make a great gift to your friends and family that love to sew! It is made with a G45 8x8 Matchbook Box. The box was sprayed black. Then ‘Gorgeous’ was used to cover the outer box leaving the center of it open. The inner box was then covered on the outside ends with the ‘Accessorize’ stripe paper. The inside of the box has compartments for scissors, spools of thread, a box for pins and other small items and a book is added for more storage and important notes. The compartments are made with ‘Style’ as the dividers and to line the bottom of the box. ‘Couture’ adds a splash of vibrant red on the inside of the box in one area. The G45 Small Altered Art Matchbook Box was also sprayed black and then covered with ‘Stunning’ and a tag is placed on top. A postcard was placed in one compartment along with an accordion booklet for notes. The tag book is made using black chipboard for the cover and spine. G45 Regular Tag Albums are used inside the book. The book is covered with ‘Style’ and a tag is placed on the front of the book.
This is a metal home decor shoe that has been covered in the new papers for the Couture line. The outside base of the shoe is covered with the backside of ‘’Couture’ and trimmed with ‘Fashion’. The Black and white stripe is ‘Accessorize’ and it accents the shoe along with a little bow that is wrapped in a leafy strip from ‘Beautiful’. The flower is made with ‘Gorgeous’ and ‘Classy’ and a beautiful vintage brooch was added to the inside. ‘Gorgeous’ lines the inside of the shoe as well as ‘Lovely’. The bottom of the shoe is covered with ‘Classy’ and the heel with ‘Couture’. Because this shoe was bought as a decorative piece, a pattern was first made with scrap paper then carefully cut out with the papers you see here. The paper can be changed easily in the future when you remove the existing paper to keep as a pattern.
Now it's time to enjoy some more inspiration for your weekend! We've got two incredible ideas for altered art boxes to share with you! First up is this adorable Mother Goose altered box by Nichola Battilana! This is a brilliant way to turn an old box into a vibrant work of art. There is something so gratifying about fixing up an old object and turning it into something so pretty! Plus altered art boxes like this one are a great way to create a beautiful gift on a budget! This sweet creation would look perfect in any room of the house! Get inspired with Nichola's dreamy Mother Goose altered box! Here is what she had to say about it!
"An inexpensive box gussied up and made pretty as can be with the Mother Goose collection. This piece would be very cute in a nursery or child's room. Even better, this box would be a great way to package a sentimental shower gift. The colours in this collection are fabulous and just exude sweet childhood joy. I especially like that the pallet is gender neutral and would be entirely appropriate for all little ones." -Nichola

Next up is another amazing altered box that you're sure to love. This is Miranda Edney's exquisite altered box featuring A Ladies Diary. We just love how Miranda blended lots of different papers from A Ladies' Diary with a bunch of beautiful embellishments and ribbons. This incredible combination helps give this box an authentic vintage look. Altered boxes are a perfect opportunity to let your imagination run wild with ideas! This is another splendid example of gorgeous home decor or the perfect handmade gift idea! Here is what Miranda had to say about this dazzling creation.
"I have a deep affection for altering boxes! And i wanted to make this one super shabby. What better paper line, then A Ladies Diary? Love! I kept it “simple” in a sense, letting the paper do the work. Just a few extra flowers and some chipboard. I also added some thread spools at the bottom as feet, and of course some “corset” lacing! I hope you all like it." -Miranda

I love coming by everyday to see what amazing creations your dad has come up with. I've just watched your steampunk member Claire on the TV for a Graphic 45 show and am thrilled to say I've won a card made by her.
I'm one happy bunny as Claire work is amazing.
