Lets get in the holiday crafting spirit with this gorgeous and fun Autumn wreath by Denise! This is a wonderful idea for festive holiday or seasonal home decor. It also makes a wonderful and inexpensive handmade gift! Denise has some great tips for how she created this darling work of art! Create one for yourself or someone you love this holiday season! You can also customize your wreath with any of your favorite Graphic 45 papers and Staples! Take it away, Denise!
Welcome in the Fall with this beautiful, festive wreath. I found this twig wreath at a thrift store for $2.99 and crafting the handmade embellishments from scraps and miscellaneous supplies found in the junk drawer really helps the pocketbook too! I handmade a variety of paper and fabric flowers using multiple techniques. Ideas for making flowers are so plentiful on Pinterest...take a look at my “Flower Fix” board for literally 100’s of ideas!! http://pinterest.com/junque/flower-fix/ I love to have tray of supplies, at the ready, sofa-side. Flower making is a great TV watching-multi-task project, and having the supplies ready and in one place really helps get it done. Because most handmade flower making tends to be a little tedious and time-consuming, I find when I’m in the mode of creating a project, I rarely want to stop that thought process and craft flowers. After putting together my tray of supplies and leaving it in the TV room, I now always have plenty of flowers for my projects that I can just grab and go!
To craft my wreath, I gathered up a pile of my handmade flowers in a neutral color story (canvas, gray silk, black and white ephemera papers). I layered 4 Steampunk Spells flowers (all orange). I punched 4 black and white houndstooth patterned flowers and added button centers. I also hand cut black and white dot patterned leaves and added a few Petaloo flowers for a nice pop of warm yellow to compliment my banner. I laid my wreath flat and placed all my pieces, adjusting for balance and a harmonious color story, after I liked the look, I hot glued everything in place. I made the Autumn greeting banner by hand-cutting banner pennants from the yellow and black dot pattern from the Steampunk Spells 6x6 papercrafting pad and added Staples

Misc. scraps for handmade flowers- canvas material, gray silk fabric, music sheet paper scraps, dictionary pages

Our collection 12 Days of Christmas has everything you need to create your perfect custom mini album! Enjoy this gorgeous mini that Annette made and check out her fun video tour! Holiday crafts are a perfect way to have fun, get festive, and try to ignore all that leftover pumpkin pie that's calling your name right now. Here is what Annette had to say about this fabulous tag mini!
"While I enjoy traditional scrapbooking of my holiday memories, I especially love to make mini albums. You can fill a pretty holiday basket with them and pull them out each season to reminisce. Or they make wonderful gifts for loved ones too. I love the Graphic 45 Staples Tag Albums and playing with them in different, unique ways. This one expands into a long album with growing pages! It’s going to look great on my coffee table this Christmas." -Annette
