Steampunk Soiree

This first Steampunk Spells project was created by the amazing Kathryn Krieger. You may remember Kathryn as being a Graphic 45 Featured Artist a couple of years ago. Well she's still inspiring people with her amazing crafts! Read about Kathryn's fabulous style and check out the beautiful Steampunk Spells keepsake chest that she created for the Steampunk Soiree! It's absolutely marvelous!

About Kathryn Krieger:

Known for her fun and entertaining teaching style, her educational videos have been viewed millions of times by crafters all over the world. Kathryn brings crafters together online for community building and education. She hosts regular live web broadcasts and maintains a lively message board where crafters can connect with each other and share their works of art. You can see Kathryn's work on her website.

Here is Kathryn's gorgeous Steampunk Spells chest! Made entirely from paper and chipboard, this chest holds 48 4"x6" photos easily and looks wonderful just sitting on a shelf. Once it’s unlatched, it opens to reveal two different albums inside. The first album is an adorable little hardback book in a front pocket, sized perfectly for holding your favorite photos. The second album holds a series of 5”x7” cards for larger photos or standard photos with room for embellishments. Detailed instructions for this project are available for purchase from Kathryn on her website.

Jim is such a talented artist and we are thrilled to welcome him on board as a new Special Projects Designer for Graphic 45. As you can see in this extraordinary work of art, Jim has an incredible knack for creating crafts that are "outside the box." His imagination is out of this world and he is also exceptionally skilled at using clever techniques to create his breathtaking crafts. An avid blogger, YouTube instructor and educator at large, Jim loves traveling the country, teaching classes online and in person and reaching out to fellow crafters to share his love of techniques and construction. You can see Jim's work on his website: The Gentleman Crafter

"The Steampunk Spells Clock was designed after an old mantle clock. I've steamed it up a bit and added a few gears!  It keeps time beautifully and when you need a little amusement, crank the shaft on the right side and watch the gears turn "Clockwise" inside the body of the clock..." -Jim

"Welcome back Jim", steampunk is my favorite style of all time...yeah!! I hope i can go to the steampunk soiree. Going to ask my husband if we can go. He doesn't craft paper but he helps me a lot because he is a master carpenter, I think he would enjoy the show, or he can drop me off and go sight seeing...lol. thanks for the info, i have never been to any of these art events, it would be a dream come true. I would be over the moon to meet Kathy Orta and everyone else too. thank you so much.

So excited to see Jim back on your team! His clock is truly amazing!

OMG Great Amazing projects....

Your steampunk collection is one of my favorites. I made my son in-law a bunch of coffins for his 40th birthday and lined the inside with those papers I fussy cut many images to embellish the outside. I used dye ink rollers to stain the wood. I had so much fun making those coffins. It was one of the first projects I completed and was truly happy with them. Thank you so much for making products that inspire us and for doing these amazing blog hops and craft projects and of course the fantastic giveaways.

OMG! LOVE the treasure box and the clock is amazing!!! TFS!

I also LOVE Steampunk papers and projects. I usually end up hoarding the papers waiting for the perfect project to come along. Loving Kathy's book and box project.
