We begin today's fabulous inspiration with this amazing 12 Days of Christmas card that celebrates the eleven pipers piping! There are so many beautiful characters in our 12 Days of Christmas collection that are just perfect for fussy cutting! You can see how Gloria added the fussy cut piper to this marvelous card to add dimension and charm to her wonderful creation. The saturated reds and golds of 12 Days of Christmas really stand out in this lovely card. Get inspired to create your own handmade holiday cards by following Gloria's helpful tips! Take it away, Gloria!
I confess that this is my favorite card of the series. I am not sure if it is all the red, the piper (I was a flutist once upon a time), or the "Ben Franklin" coat, but I just love how this one turned out! I fussy cut the piper from the Drummers Drumming paper and attached him to the paper with foam squares. I used a series of circles to create interest and contrast. I fussy cut the banner to look like an old sign or scroll.
I used a cardstock button and a Christmas charm to add more circle shapes to the card.
This card has some dimension, but it is not as "hefty" as most of my cards. I think this one is simple, but visually pleasing and it makes this one my favorite!
I decorated the inside of the card a chipboard element and a fancy brad, plus a strip of paper.

And now it's time for a magnificent 12 Days of Christmas gift tutorial by Miranda! She's going to show you how to create this amazing top hat card! This project is so much fun! It can double as both a card and a festive piece of holiday home decor! We especially love this wonderful creation because it stars a very special and beloved little guy, Charee's toddler son, Richard! This is a perfect example of how you can personalize your cards and gifts to give them extra special sentimentality. Wow, this is such an adorable creation! Take it away, Miranda!
"For my day 11 gift idea, I made something for the one and only Charee! Featuring the star of Graphic 45, baby Richard! I always adore the photos I see of him, so I knew he would make the perfect little drummer on top of this hat/card! I have him sitting in the birds nest up top, drumstick in hand! The bottom of the hat opens up for the card. Check out the video for a overview and tutorial." -Miranda
