Gloria Stengel 12 Days of Christmas Graphic 45 card tutorial gift

It was pretty hard not to break out the French Country papers and pair it up with 12 Days of Christmas! I mean, French hens need a French rooster, right?! But, I stayed within the confines of my assignments and ONLY used the Christmas paper. Check out the little hen and her chicks!

I created "fluffy" bows with three colors of ribbon and glued them to the top of the card.  I love making these bows. I added a button, some string, and a "sugared" berry as the finishing touch.

I added a tiny flower and more berries, plus a die cut leaf to the bottom corner of the card. I also used glitter glue to "jazz up" the number three in the title.

I decorated the inside of the card with a postage image sticker and a strip from the Joyeux Noel paper.

Wow, wasn't that beautiful, G45ers?! Now that we have our card inspiration, it's time to get some ideas for stunning handmade gifts! Behold, Annette's amazing handmade holiday wine bag featuring 12 Days of Christmas! This is such a fun and easy way to add festive charm to a variety of small gifts! Turn that ordinary gift into something extraordinary with this fabulous tutorial by Annette! You're going to love it! Here Annette explains her inspiration behind this joyful craft creation!

"I find you can never go wrong with a favorite beverage for a holiday gift. Whether it’s a delightful wine, a fine bottle of liquor or a flavored coffee syrup, an altered wine bag is sure to make the gift extra special. By taking a plain kraft wine bag and adding sturdy cardstock and lovely paper, the bag is suddenly transformed into more of a wine box. And pretty enough to keep on display during the holidays. Or better yet, re-gift the bag and pass on the love. Fill it with cookies or a freshly baked loaf of your tastiest bread. This bag came together quickly using remnant ribbons, a few buttons, several sheets of Graphic 45 Twelve Days of Christmas paper, and some quick die cut shapes." -Annette

Other: Buttons, various ribbons, tall kraft bag with handles, and Martha Stewart border punch.

1. Cut two panels of Vintage Rose Signature Series cardstock 5 x 12 inches each. Cut two panels of Blue Lagoon 3 x 12 inches each. Cut two pieces of “Calling Birds” paper 4 ¾ x 10 inches each. Cut two pieces of “Christmas Rose” paper 2 ¾ x 10 inches each. Ink edges with coordinating inks if desired. You will eventually adhere these together, but not until a later step.

2. Cut from 6 x 6 Patterns & Solids:

4 pieces from red dot print 1 x 4 ¾ inches each. Border punch two of the strips

4 pieces from blue check print 1 x 2 ¾ inches each. Border punch two of the strips.

Ink edges with coordinating ink if desired.

3. Using clear tape on the back side of the paper, join the pieces as shown. Do this to all four panels.

4. Adhere desired ribbons, folding over the ends to the back side and taping them flat to secure them. This gives a nice clean edge.

5. Use Scor-Tape to adhere the Vintage Rose cardstock pieces to the kraft bag. Then you can add your assembled unit over this.

6. Do the same with the Blue Lagoon cardstock pieces and the assembled unit for each.

7. You can also create a sturdy base for your bag by cutting a piece of Blue Lagoon cardstock 3 x 5 inches, and a piece of “Christmas Rose” paper 2 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches, if you desire.

8. You can then embellish your bag with die cut holly leaves, an ornate label or gift tag, ribbons, buttons and handmade paper bows.
