The 5th day of Christmas celebrates the 5 golden rings. Here is Gloria's gorgeous card that captures all the festive beauty of this special day. Of course the Golden Rings paper from 12 Days of Christmas is just perfect for this amazing card. A few pretty paper layers, lovely ribbon and Graphic 45 Metal Key Holes help make this card a true vintage-inspired treasure! Follow along with Gloria's helpful tips and create your own handmade holiday card for someone you love with 12 Days of Christmas!
Christmas projects are the perfect time to mix you metals! The sparkle and shine of the holiday season is perfect for glitter gold and silver, but also the more vintage metals as I have shown here.
I created visual interest by fussing cutting the large ring and ribbon image from the Golden Rings paper. Then I created a loopy bow out of real ribbon and glued it onto the paper bow.
I paired one of the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keyhole Staples with a fancy brad and a Christmas charm to add vintage sparkle to the card.
I decorated the inside of the card with a postage image sticker and a strip from the Joyeux Noel paper. I added a bit of pop by fussing cutting another ring from the Golden Rings paper and attaching it to the inside of the card with a foam square.

They're especially wonderful for the long nights of winter. But you can add so much personality and charm to any candle by creating a beautiful handmade gift box to accompany it! Get inspired by Clare's wonderful video tutorial! Have fun creating this gorgeous gift for friends and family this holiday season with our 12 Days of Christmas collection. Take it away, Clare!
"My gift today is an exploding candle gift box . I used two sheets of the 12 x 12 Golden Rings paper for this 5th Day of Christmas gift idea and co ordinated it with the plaid side of Swans a Swimming to get the finished effect. The theme is carried onto the candle with five golden rings too. The box is made from chipboard, sections, joined together, painted and then decorated in yellows and greens. I used the festive flower sprays from the corners of the Golden rings paper and some gorgeous green ribbon to give the gift a truly festive feel. Follow along with the video tutorial if you’d like to make one yourself. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone." -Clare

Clare- Your candle box is beautiful. The 7 swans a swimming paper that you added with the 5 golden rings paper is absolutely perfect. I love how all of the G45 papers coordinate with each other. Wonderful, will have to try.
Can I say that when using the red line tape, I have found that if I cut it longer that what I want to stick and cut at an angle. I find the red piece easier to pull off and I tuck the glue part back on itself.
