On the 7th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a gorgeous card created by Gloria! Behold this exquisite and colorful card that commemorates the 7 Swans a Swimming! This card has such a classic look with its elegantly layered papers and stunning embellishments. Look at how Gloria painted the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keyhole to give it a lovely wintry appeal. It's these sweet little details that give this card such an incredible allure. Get inspired to create your own gorgeous holiday cards with 12 Days of Christmas! They are perfect for everyone on your list! Here is what Gloria had to say about this timeless treasure.
I gave this card lots of small layers and added sparkle by using metallic cardstock. I stayed true to the vintage feel of the paper by adding vintage-look embellishments.
I painted a Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keyhole Staples with white paint. When it was dry, I rubbed it with glitter glue to add sparkle. I glued pearls to the "screw holes" of the keyhole. I paired the fancy keyhole with vintage flowers and a crystal spray.
I die cut the swan image and matted it with dark green cardstock. I hand cut the sentiment to look like a vintage banner. A bit of chalk ink makes it look like an old sign.
I decorated the inside of the card with a sticker and a few strips of paper.

Gina’s Designs Steampunk Doily
Tutorial:
Step 1:
Start with a 5” circle template. (I used a leftover chipboard book page I used in another project).
Step 2:
Using the 8x8 12 Days papers, trace a circle onto each sheet. I positioned each circle to include the 2 days depicted on the paper inside each circle.
Step 3:
You’ll end up with 6 circles.
Step 4:
You will also need to cut a cover circle (green pattern) and circles to cover the backs (a total of 6 additional circles). I used a variety of papers from the 6x6 Patterns and Solids Paper Pad.
Step 5:
Using the circle template again, trace and cut 7 circles out of chipboard (I used scrap file folders) also cut 5- 2”-3” strips of linen tape.
Step 6:
Lay the chipboard/file folder circles in a line, with the edges not quite touching.
Attach the circles together using the linen tape stripes.
Step 7:
Cover each circle with the 12 Days circles, starting with days 1&2, then 3&4....etc.
Step 8:
On the backside of the Days 1&2 circle (which will be the cover), cover with the green pattern circle (cut in step 4)
Step 9:
Decorate & embellish cover as shown.
Step 10:
Add button closure
Step 11:
Once your cover is complete, flip the project back to the 12 days side and add a gift card pocket and embellish each page.
step 12-
After your pocket/gift card holder pages are complete, turn the project over and cover each of the backsides with the circles cut in (step 4)
Step 13:
Add a ribbon to the top of each circle.
Step 14:
Add desired content to each pocket, share and enjoy!!
