"This little purse is an extra project I made for the CHA Mega Show. I used Graphic 45’s fabulous Couture 6” x 6” patterns and solids to make this fun little purse! It can easily fit a lipstick tube or necklace inside. I don’t reach for my patterns and solids pads as much as I should, so I wanted to use them for this project. Stripes are perhaps my favorite pattern, and I love how the 6” x 6” pad has a deep coral stripe pattern! I used this as the base for my purse, then decorated with a little fussycutting and matching Graphic 45 flowers." -Maria
Supplies:
12” x 12” Graphic 45 Couture Chic
6” x 6” Graphic 45 Patterns & Solids Pad
Graphic 45 Couture Flowers
Graphic 45 Couture Chipboard 1
Graphic 45 Couture Chipboard 2
Tim Holtz Idea-Ology ball & chain
Old earring
Tutorial:
Step 1. From your 6x6 pad, take out (2) pieces of red stripe paper. From these papers, cut out (2) 4” circles and score each one 1” from the bottom and fold.
Step 2. Take a black pattern paper and cut off a 3” x 6” piece. Use your Scor-pal to score the top, bottom, and sides at 1.25”.
Step 3. Flip black pattern piece over. Make cuts along the folds on the top and bottom of the paper. Fold paper to create a rectangular box.
Step 4. Glue one side of the box to the back of one of the red stripe circles. Repeat for the other side. Let your glue dry, then pinch and adhere just the top of the circles together.
Step 5. Take a solid red paper out and cut (2) 3” x 3” pieces. Punch a large circle into each piece. Cut off the top inch on both pieces of paper to create “handles”. Adhere handles to the top of the front and back of your purse.
Step 6. Fussy cut the following image from your 12” x 12” Chic paper. Then grab some Couture flowers, an old earring, and chipboard pieces.
Step 7. Adhere chipboard, flowers, and fussy cut image to the front of your purse.
Step 8. Adhere chipboard to the back. Take an 11” long piece of chain and string through purse. Optional: Take one of your scraps and wrap around your chain.
We hope you all had a lot of fun on today's extra special Graphic 45 blog. We want to thank Annette and Maria for their spectacular work today. Don't forget to leave us a blog or Facebook comment today for your chance to win that amazing Sweet Sentiments and Secret Garden prize pack. What great ideas!! My great grandson's mom would love to have that hat rack for his room and my little granddaughters would love the little purse. One is 17, the other is 8. The oldest keeps the projects I have made for her on display in her room (how fulfilling!) and the little one keeps everything I make for her, as well. Every now and then, I have to make a decorated box for her to keep her cards in (she says she needs one about every other week) and her other little gifts of paper from me are sprinkled around her home where she can see them. My daughter, her mama, is very tolerant of her desire to keep them around her where she says they remind her that I love her... aaaah!

Adore the rack, can imagine doing something similar - oh wait, that's right I did - 1st altered g45 piece I ever did. It's in a box all wrapped up in bubble.
A really good, concise tutorial, such a novel idea! Tfs....
