What are we looking for?

Graphic 45 paper and products are unique and vintage inspired, so we are looking for a variety of team members that can produce high quality cards, layouts, altered art, videos, and home decor projects that show off our papers and embellishments.

Our team is education-based, so we will need you to have good photography skills, the ability to create tutorials with instructions and size images for blog and website use.

This call is open to international and domestic applicants. Current design team members who have been on the team for one year and want to re-apply for a second year are eligible, but you must resubmit. You cannot resubmit if you have already been on the design team for two years.

How do I apply to be on the team?

Our design team search will consist of two rounds. Please read the entire contents of both rounds, as there is quite a bit of information.

We look forward to your incredible projects. It's a truly wonderful time of year. So get busy creating and most of all, have fun!

We can't leave you today without some fantastic scrapbooking ideas! Clare Charvill, Susan Lui, and Anne Elisabeth Rostad will jumpstart your weekend crafting!

First, we have a beauteous Botanical Tea layout from Clare. She frames her photo so beautifully in this LO.

"I decided to keep the background of this layout simple and add cut out detail from the beautiful Botanical Tea signature paper to frame the picture that has an old thatched cottage with a rambling rose all over it in the background.  Cutting out took a while but it was all done whilst watching the TV one eve.  In all I used only three papers and some pale blue Cor Dinations which made it a very cost effective layout to put together leaving lots of papers left for more projects."-Clare

"I made this LO for my sister and family. The like to play golf and The Good Ol Sport paper collection from Graphic 45 fits perfect for the theme:-)Before I started with paper craft I used to make quilts and I thought the Bargello technique would be perfect to create a landscape background and the guy almost got a hole in one lol. In the frame my sister can place a photo she likes :-)" - Anne

Tutorial on how to make a bargello paper background

Cut varying width strips of paper and some solid color papers until you have about 12 x 15 inch long. Good to have a large background paper to glue them on and this you can find in a office supply store.

Here I used glue stick from xyron. Be sure to take enough glue on since you are going to cut the stripes in small pieces. You can also use multi matte.

When all the stripes are glued on dry it well and cut in various stripes like shown below.

Then glue all ste stripes on a new background paper and offset the stripes to create a landscape.

Here I used multi matte.

First I took multi matte over the whole paper first to to avoid shrink.. Also took multi matte over the stripes.

Here are some more suggestions on how to create a simple LO

Select a background paper and cut out the inside of the frames 12 x 12 paper. There you cut off can be used for something else :-) If you are hanging it on a wall it can be good to have a chipboard plate on the back.

Select some images you want to use for decorations.

Now you can put in some photos before you glue it down and if you put 3D foam under the frames you get more dept to it.

Or you can put in some decor paper and glue some small photos on.

The bow is made from a strip of paper that I used multi matte on and folded it to a bow.

Supply list:

Good Ol Sport, twine, multi matte, Xyron glue, Petaloo flowers, chipboard, distress ink, color wash, black Zig penand a good cup of coffee :-)

Design Team calls, contest winners, and amazing layouts have all filled our blog today! We hope you've had as much fun as we have. We can't wait to see your DT submissions. It's an exciting time of year!!

Happy Papercrafting,

This has been such an amazing design team to be part of! I feel truly honoured to have designed for this amazing company throughout 2013/2014 and will definitely re-apply.
I really recommend everyone to give it a go and apply for the call! You will love being part of this wonderful team :)

I love your ideas. Even had to pin some of your video tutorials as they are so instructive and beautiful. Thank you!

Botanical Tea is a gorgeous collection! Can't wait to do some fussy cutting of those flowers. Anne's tutorial was fantastic! I really appreciated that she gave us many different suggestions using the same topic and papers. Thanks!

These are great. I just have one request. How about project sheets instead of tutorials. I can print a sheet to follow, but I don't always have internet access to follow a tutorial.

Really looking forward to working with Botanical Tea, Good old Sport and By The Sea. Thank you for all the inspiration. X

love all these projects. TFS -Amy

Rebecca Sherman, Thanks for the great request! Unfortunately, with the manpower on our team, we can't make every tutorial into a project sheet. We try to make a variety - videos, project sheets, collage tutorials, and step-by-step tutorials to mix it up. Our design team actually brilliantly takes the time to come up with these great tutorials, and we like them to use the method they like best. Thanks for understanding and visiting our blog! -Joanna from Graphic 45

Wonderful masculine sports collection!! Love the paper design!!

Your vintage designs are so different and clever. I enjoy using your products in my mixed media art journals.

WAUW That would certainly be a dream come true. I wish I was one of those awesome designers, but unfortunately think, I´m way to ordinary to be considdered, as I´ve never been on any DT before, but just do my own stuff, but I just absolutely LOVE G45 papers, even they´re pretty hard to get here. But to be able to work with them every day definitely would be THE DREAM come true.
The projects here today are really awesome too as always, and way over my standard, I´m sure.

Congratulations to the very lucky Winner of the Typography goodies, I'm soooooooo envious.
Love, love, love all the projects, the DT are all genius' xx

Would be simply AMAZING to be on the Team! Anne has been such an inspiration to me.
