Peace, Love, & Art with Graphic 45: Day One
"If only everyone in the world was a crafter, what a happy place the world would be!" ~Deborah Gill, G45er
Hello G45ers,
It's a very special weekend on the blog. We here at Graphic 45 have been very moved by what's happening in the world all over right now, so our design team has created some truly amazing art in honor of peace and love. We will share a beautiful project by Nichola Battilana, an altered large 'Peace' canvas by Annette Green, and an altered bright and beauteous altered peace sign by Rhea Freitag. Let's celebrate peace today!
Nichola really inspires with this beautiful mini altered canvas using a few G45 collections including a non-seasonal use of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Beautiful!
"A small altered canvas to hang as a hopeful token for peace for our friends in the Ukraine and all areas affected by war and strife. What a beautiful world it would be if all people lived with dignity and respect and without fear of war or retribution." - Nichola

Now, enjoy this gorgeous "Peace" canvas by Annette. This is a wonderful project to hang all year round. Love the hopeful colors and beautiful details.
"I was thrilled to create an art piece that that could hopefully bring a smile, hope and joy to those in Ukraine, Russia and all around the world. By nature, we take our freedom and the peace it brings for granted until it is threatened. This 16” x 20” canvas will hang in my office and remind me each and every day that without peace, we are not complete and happy." - Annette
We love this beaming altered peace sign project from Rhea using Bohemian Bazaar and Mother Goose! So vibrant and beautiful.
"Inspired by the classic peace sign, I set out to create a lively paper wreath by layering lots of die cut paper flowers. In order to make a vibrant and lively tone, I chose fun bright colors from both the Bohemian Bazaar line as well as Mother Goose. The insides of each flower are parts from the Mother Goose Banners and Flowers. These tiny circles add such a nice little detail that really finished off each bloom. I actually made way to many flower elements for this project. Since I had already cut and glued them all, I decided to turn it over and make it double sided. This also added another layer of texture, which I am always seeking in my work. Peace to the Ukraine." - Rhea

WAUW Sooooo beautiful projects here today. And I can only agree, if just everyone was a crafter, there wouldn´t be any wars or fights going on anywhere, I´m sure, but unfortunately not everyone is a crafter, so guess we have to deal with those old warcrazy men, that lives around the world.
But how beautiful are these projects here today, I´m totlally amazed with the beauty here, just outstanding work from all of these designers here.

All three projects are amazing. If we would all be busy creating beauty, there would be no time to create war and strife.

Peace and Love, is an immortal theme we like scrappers transmit new generations, taking the soul of happiness to their lives. Thank you so much for opening the mind to new issues that we need to address today! XOXO

Made me think of an old hymn we sang in church when I was a child "Peace, peace, wonderful peace...coming down from the Father above. Sweep over my spirit forever I pray, in fathomless billows of love". May you all have peace in your spirit each day !

These are all beautiful! Especially love the Peace Canvas!
I don't understand why there has to be so much hate and discontent in the world. If we could all just care a little more about others the world would be a better place to live in!
Thank you for sharing these Peace invoking projects!
