Peace, Love, & Art with Graphic 45: Day Two

Happy Sunday, G45ers,

The Peace, Love, and Art blog rally continues with another heartening group of projects today. Jim, the Gentleman Crafter wows with an incredible altered canvas. Miranda Edney shares a stunning "Love" banner with a gorgeous verse. Thanks for joining us for another beautiful day on the blog.

Jim, the Gentleman Crafter, starts us off with an incredible tribute to all the children all around the world. This is a powerful and wonderful canvas.

"It was an amazing honor to be included in the Peace and Love Project.  My first thoughts went to the iconic boys and girls holding hands around the world.  So I set off to try my hand on this project using the awesome papers of Graphic 45 collections and  several other mediums...

The canvas was sprayed with Dylusions After Midnight.  Then I added some stenciled stars with Embossing paste and rubbed them with silver Guilders Paste.  Next came the 8-inch round lid.  I applied more embossing paste to the lid.  Allowed it to dry and them sprayed it with Dylusions Calypso Teal, London Blue and a spritz of After Midnight.

Next, I cut out the little people from scraps of Graphic 45 papers I had in my stash.  I added some waxed string bows to the girls heads and belts to the boys to add a bit of dimension.  I glued little 1/2-inch wooden spools from my stash to the back of the boys and girls and adhered them to the canvas with Ranger's Glue and Seal.

I cut out the continents and adhered the main continents using the steps above with the little spools.  I adhered the smaller continents flat to the lid.

Last, I cut a heart from the Movers and shapers heart die, tied a bow around it and adhered it to the main continent.  I added some cut out stars to the project once again, using the little wooden spools for dimension." -Jim

WAUW 2 more outstanding projects here today. Both are so beautiful and powerful elements n this case here, and sooo amazing work.

All the projects yesterday and today are stunningly beautiful with powerful messages of love, peace and hope. May art always be an ispiration for all the values we hold so dear. My prayers to those in Ukraine and everywhere there is stife and suffering.

Inspiring! Peace on earth!

Beautiful tributes in every sense of the word, as were yesterday's. Peace & love.

If the world was full of more people like Jim the Gentleman crafter, there would be nothing but Peace, Love and amazing Art! His canvas is bright with the promise of hope for world peace - exactly what's needed.

Jim's canvas is truly a testament to the love that is in this world! I love how he utilized so many of your wonderful collections to create this masterpiece! I think he should send it to the White House or the United Nations for them to display in a place of honor as it truly speaks off what we can accomplish if we all figuratively hold hands and unite as one. Together we can accomplish so much yet as one we can only do so much!
Miranda's beautiful banner is delightful. Love the delicate feel to it with the soft colors and beautiful embellishments!
May Peace and Love surround you for all your days!

There isn't anything that Jim does that I don't like

Beautiful projects!!

Fantastic art!!!

Wonderful projects x

Beautiful projects,

Sunday's are a day of peace. Thank you so much for your amazing art. They are both touching and inspiring at the same time. All we can do is walk with peace in our hearts, teach our children to also walk with peace in theirs. As women we can see much more clearly what fighting and war cost us in human suffering. Thank you for sharing your message of peace.

WOW! Miranda & Jim both did great jobs. I like Jim's cause it's simple & to the point. I like Miranda's cause it's delicate & peaceful. Both are very talented people, so glad they are part of your team. ;0)

As I sit here in my comfy chair and play on my I Pad I have seen young men dressed as waiters delivering meals to homeless on trays, I have seen a lady getting ready to leave on a trip to Spain as a volunteer, a family trying to raise money to adopt a baby from China and I think to myself what a wonderful world it would be if we could all have Peace, Love and Charity in all we do, and I think Jim nailed it. Great work in all the projects.

Great pieces, I have to make a banner similar to today's creation. The great thing about Graphic 45 papers is that my banner will look great even if nothing like the original that inspired it.

Jim has done a stellar job again and Miranda I love your banner and sentiment.

Oh, Wow, what amazing projects! Such awesome talent.

Just beautiful creations by Jim and Miranda. Both show how much TLC they put into their projects.

Jim's canvas is so well done. Truly beautiful. Peace

I love the banner. WOW!

Both of these are simply fabulous! And I think Jim is just a genius - his art is always amazing.

So lovely Peace and love to all the world <3

I think I hear "It's a Small World" playing as I look at Jim's canvas...a masterpiece.

Beautiful projects with a powerful message of peace and love.

Very nice projects, lovely. Hard to pick, both so well done. My style is mixed media and I could see both relating to what I am working on at the moment. I love the delicate color palette of the banner garland and I enjoy the bold colors of the relief collage of the paper "art doll" piece. I guess the art doll piece is closer to what include in my altered books but I have worked on banner and love creating embellishments for my living space.

I've been back to look at the last 4 days projects at least a dozen times! So much detail I missed seeing the previous times. I really love Gentleman Jim's board...stunning message! Thank you for sharing these!

Whoooo-HOOOO!!! Party time!

Stunning projects !! there needs to be more Peace and Love in this World, I wish we could wave a 'magic wand' xx

Great projects.

Projects out of this world as usual, never fail to surprise us all x

Love love love it all x

love the Gentleman Crafter... watch him all the time and this banner is fabulous.....

Jim's canvas makes such a bold and powerful statement! I love it! And the LOVE banner from Miranda is like a hug! Two more amazing projects!

Wonderful projects and a beautiful tribute to children. Great work.

Where did the incredible skelitsl feather come from on the LOVE banner. Beautiful work.

Wonderful projects! Very inspiring indeed! xxx

What comes to mind is Flight 370 and the loss of life. Thank you G45 for such a great Project.

Beautiful inspiration as always and congrats on 45000 followers on FB!!
