Susan provides a great idea for Mother's Day! Enjoy this Couture jewelry box tutorial below. A brilliant idea to surprise your mom with handmade jewelry and a gorgeous gift box. Have you used our ATC Book Box? Perfect for those special gifts.

"This is a jewelry box I created for Mother’s Day using Graphic 45’s Staples ATC Book Box and Couture collection.

This is a beautiful handmade pendant my daughter made. Isn’t it exquisite?

Couture Jewelry Box Tutorial

I’ve written up a tutorial for it. It’s not difficult and can be done in a few hours, once you gather up your materials.

To begin, here’s a list of what you’ll need:

List of Supplies:

Graphic 45 Staples ATC Book Box
Graphic 45 Couture patterned papers – Accessorize, Gorgeous, Elegant, Couture
Graphic 45 Couture Chipboard 2
Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Key
Black lace
Prima Flower
Doily

1. Paint the edges of your Staples ATC Book Box black. There’s no need to paint all of the box. Just the edges that won’t be covered by patterned paper.

2. Cover the walls of the book box with the striped Accessorize patterned paper.

3. Select some patterned paper and embellishments you’ll want on the top of your book box. This is what I’m going to use.

4. String black lace through a Graphic 45 ornate metal key.

5. Cover the top of the book box with Classy patterned paper and adhere the key with lace to the box. Allow the key to dangle over the front of the box.

6. Carefully cut out the inside of the Elegant patterned paper, leaving just the border. Line the inside of the border with doily and adhere this to the top of the box, over the black lace. 

7. Stick on a Couture chipboard element to the centre of the collage as shown.

8. Layer the metal embellishment and flower over the chipboard element.

9. You’re almost done. Here’s the view from the side.

10. Cut some flowers and coupons from Gorgeous and Beautiful patterned papers, select your favourite Couture chipboard and layer them on to the front and sides of the box as shown. And you’re done!
