Now, let's introduce our incredible Graphic 45 Ambassadors! You may be wondering "What is a G45 Ambassador?" It's a designer we have specifically invited to represent Graphic 45, since they are already teaching so many wonderful classes and workshops with Graphic 45 products all over the world. You will see familiar faces in this group of designers and teachers. This program is invite-only and we asked some amazing crafters for this team. We are so excited to welcome these designers to this brand new program with Graphic 45!

Today, we will begin the Ambassador introductions with the amazing Clare Charvill from the United Kingdom! She teaches so many wonderful workshops with Graphic 45 and her YouTube channel is full of inspiring ideas and tutorials. She shares incredible projects today using a variety of collections. We are so honored to have Clare serve as a representative of Graphic 45! Join Clare as she takes us on a tour of these three projects!

"Firstly I’d like to thank Diane, Charee and Amie for inviting me to be an Ambassador. After two fabulous years on the design team I feel very honoured to be invited back to be part of such a wonderful family and was very touched when I read the invite mail.

My fascination for crafts started at a very early age, influenced by Mum and Nan who used to spend hours with me sewing, kitting and making paper and wool pompoms. Over the years around a full time job and the family I’ve touched on many crafts from cross stich, tapestry, Trapunto. Quilting, knitting and Sugar Craft which I went on to teach at basic and advanced level for ten years at our local college. I took the opportunity to qualify as a further education teacher while I was teaching too.

My interest in paper craft started a few years ago when I called into a local craft shop. I came out armed with a book and a paper trimmer and started making a few very basic layouts for the boys, but it wasn’t until the start of 2011 that I discovered the crafting community on You Tube and the vintage style papers that kept catching my eye. They were all by Graphic 45.

Inspired by the old albums of family photos I used to browse through with my Nan I made my first album with the gorgeous Curtain Call collection. That’s where my love affair with the gorgeously vintage designs Diane and her teamcreate started. Hooked, and totally inspired by the detail in the papers I used the Le Cirque collection for my next album, then Le Communiqué and, well the rest is history as they say.

I’ve had the most amazing time over the past three years, launching my blog and You Tube channel, joining the G45 Design Team and sharing my creativity with like-minded crafters all over the world. Here in the UK I run my own workshops and retreats, teach at craft shops around the country, demo at National Craft Shows and Trade Fairs and promote Graphic 45 on national television too.

The projects I’ve chosen to share with you cover all the areas of crafting that I enjoy designing. I hope you enjoy the journey."

Tea Time Trio

"Flavoured teas are so popular I thought I’d design a fun tea themed gift. Designing from scratch, taking flat sheets of chipboard, cardstock and paper and turning them into a three-dimensional gift idea is always fun.

The Botanical Tea papers were the perfect choice for this project, whichshowcases the pretty colours in the collection and combines stickers, staples and chipboard elements with 8 x 8 and 12 x 12 papers. I used one colour for each tea bag box to compliment the flavours on the front of each box and used stickers with glossy accent detail to make them look button like.

Mint – to help relieve headaches
Rose – to help relieve cold symptoms
Assam - can aid thinking and alertness

The boxes stand on a sturdy chipboard cabinet that could also be wall mounted.

This project was designed to teach in a one day workshop and covered a number of crafting techniques.

My Sporting Memories Box

"Making keepsake items is something we all love to do. This project is for the sporting enthusiast who loves to keep cuttings and photos of those special moments, collect autographs of their hero’s and keep those special collectables and trinkets too. It combines all I love to make, with a scrapbook album, wire bound autograph book with miniature stamped images on the cover, an altered drawer with lift out trinket tray and hidden compartment underneath all made from chipboard. I chose orange, cream and black papers as my colour palette from the Good Ol Sport collection and combined them with patterns and solids papers, banners, tags, pockets, stamps, chipboard pieces and staples to achieve the overall finished project. Graphic 45 papers are the perfect medium to use to on altered items and with their vintage style make a beautiful gift for the gent of all ages."

Art Deco Floral Centre Piece

"I decided to take the papers beyond the page for my final project, and with home decor in mind designed this art deco style vase of roses. The weight of the paper was perfect for shaping the rose petals. I wanted to show how easy it is to make something simple and elegant from papers that contain a lot of detail and also combine Graphic 45 collections new and old, something I love to do.

Flower making in Sugar Craft is something I’m very comfortable with but making flowers on stems out of paper was a new challenge. The roses are made from Fabulous paper from the Couture collection, the leaves from green Core’Dinations Signature Series card stock and the vase, made from chipboard and card combines Fashion paper from the Couture collection and recessed images from the Steampunk Debutante, one of my all time favorites. I could almost smell the roses as I was making them. :)"

Clare's projects are always fantastic. I love the tea box. May have to make one for my tea.

Awesome stuff, as always!

You've inspired me! I see you use that old wooden box for storage. I have one that was used for Coke bottles. It would match my craft room very well. I just never thought about bringing it up from the basement!

The Tea Time Trio are lovely for storing tea bags! And the Sporting Memories box is awesome! Congrats on being featured in Creative Spaces 3.

My Mom used to complain that she couldn't find really nice crafting papers and pieces in England. She would have loved attending a class with Clare and enjoying all the Graphic 45 treasures.
