"I love to melt the photo on the background in my layouts. I like when you don't get to known where it is the limit of the photo. To get this effect I use a lot of mediums such as modeling paste, acrylic gesso and acrylic paints. Botanical Tea is a wonderful collection and the flowers, birds, butterflies are perfect to complete my layout."~Solange

"When working on this lay-out, I started by fussy cutting a couple of flowers from the beautiful ‘Gorgeous’ paper. After that my lay-out actually scrapped itself. I did some layering with several papers, added a photo and then arranged the flowers besides my photo as a central element on my page. " ~Romy

So beautiful...but when you start with Graphic45 products, how can you go wrong?

Wow, how do you do that Solange? The photo just "melts" to point it looks like part of paper & the embellishments are beautiful.
Romy has done a stunning piece of art. Look how the colours are so perfectly put together & the fussy cutting is incredible?? Have to have Couture collection, even if just a few sheets!
Congrats to winner too :))

Hooray for a layout day at G45! Like caroline, I too wonder about the actual technique Solange Marques uses to achieve an effect that essentially fuses photo and background paper into one. I can see the paint and stamping, of course - but how does she avoid degrading the photo paper (making it buckle and the ink bleed)? Has the photo been laser-printed directly onto the same surface material used for painting on? In any case, it is a thought-provoking layout. Thank you for making my brain wake up this morning!
Romy Veul's layouts always feature such beautifully photographed portraits. This cutie really is the heart and soul of her layout.

Solange is the best at "melting" the photo into the background. I didn't know it was called melting until just now but I love the technique and would love to learn thisyself.
