The Petaloo & Graphic 45 Blog Hop: Day 1
Welcome to the Petaloo International and Graphic 45 blog hop! We're so glad you joined us for this fun week. We will be hopping along with Petaloo all week, so get ready for some amazing autumn and Halloween decor. It's going to be such a fun week. Have you used Petaloo's gorgeous flowers? They are simply gorgeous and the perfect addition to any project. The best part is that they perfectly match Graphic 45 collections! Follow to the end of the blog, where we will have the blog link to Petaloo's blog to continue hopping along! Today, we will have three amazing projects from Annette Green, Rhea Freitag, and Yumi Muraeda. Stay until the end, we have some great photos from our South Africa classes with Charee and Jeff. What a great day it will be!
We also have a grand $55 giveaway of Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale supplies and beautiful Petaloo flowers. If you would like to win, comment on both our blog and Petaloo's blog for the blog hop. We will announce the winner of the contest on Monday, September 15 so you can hop along with us the full week. Have fun hopping along!
First, we have a brilliant altered An Eerie Tale cake from Annette! She even has a Snapguide tutorial for this fun project.
"I’ve always made my own cakes since I can remember and have since seen so many great paper-crafted cakes, I knew I just had to make one some day. My home is filled with great Halloween decorations during the season, but I am lacking a fun centerpiece so I decided on my mini three-tiered cake. The black Petaloo flowers were the perfect complements to An Eerie Tale collection of papers and stickers." ~Annette
Love how she used the flowers as icing on the cake - so clever.

Next, we have this gorgeous altered shadowbox from Rhea Freitag. She covers this project in autumnal and floral beauties. Wow, this is stunning!
"I just love it when a project comes together so easy! I made this fun little assemblage over the course of an afternoon. The colors in the An Eerie Tale paper were just perfect with the Petaloo Darjeeling Flowers. In order to plan out a shadowbox such as this, I typically choose my focal for each little square and work from there. This allows me to be sure to have a contrasting paper for each respective background. By simply layering and layering lots of embellishments and junk, I come out with an interesting assemblage every time. There is certainly a lot to take in. I hope you enjoy! Cheers!" ~Rhea
Rhea's detail in every tray is simply beautiful.
