Nichola is a lover of Halloween and made the most genius creation using G45 and Petaloo! The Petaloo blooms make this eerily elegant. Take it away, Nichola.
"I love Halloween. Perhaps part of that love stems from the fact that even grown-ups can play along and enjoy spookiness. Here I’ve created a gift bag that is just the right size for a bottle of something deep dark and red. Perfect for a grown up goodie bag or hostess gift.
The bag was created with two large coffin shapes, 12” tall, cut from An Eerie Tale > Gone Batty. The sides are strips of paper 3.25” wide with additional ½” flaps on either side that adhere the front and back coffin shapes. The bottom of the bag has a double layer to ensure that precious cargo remains safe.
For the handle I’ve attached a length of wide Fancy Trim from Petaloo. This is secured to the front and back of the bag, the ends hidden with embellishments like An Eerie Tale Tags & Pockets, An Eerie Tale Decorative Chipboard and Petaloo’s Burlap Blossoms. I’ve added some Alphabet Sticker Staples to spell out RIP to finish it off… because I’m spooky like that ;)" ~Nichola

Next, Romy shows us how to make the most brilliant door sign using the most fabulous colors. Punctuated beautifully with perfectly matching Petaloo flowers!
An Eerie Tale Door Sign Tutorial
Step 1:
Use a wood door sign as a basis. Cut the same shape from the ‘Grand Illusion’ paper and attach it on top of the door sign.
Step 2:
Cut out the pattern from the ‘Grand Illusion’ paper from the 8x8 pad and add it on top of the door sign with foamtape.
Step 3:
Cut out two rectangles from the ‘You Bewitch Me’ and the ‘Grand Illusion’ sheet out of the 8x8 pad. Punch alongside one of the edges of both papers. Use double-sided tape to attach them on top of the other paper layers.
Step 4:
Cut out two clusters of flowers from the ‘Captivating Characters’ paper. Attach them onto the door sign with tacky glue. Also glue down a die-cut from the Tags & Pockets package on the door sign.
Step 5:
Cut out two other pairs of flowers from the same paper and add them on top of the flat flowers with foamtape. Also add another die-cut from the Tags & Pockets package and let it partly overlap the other die-cut. Use a resin embellishment to frame your photo and add this on top of the flowers.
Step 6:
Decorate the middle of the door sign with a metal key and two butterflies, that you can cut out from the Steampunk Spells 8x8 Pad.
Step 7:
Arrange a few Petaloo flowers around the resin frame.
Step 8:
Finally, add a couple of the small ‘An Eerie Tale’ flowers, a few pearls and a sentiment sticker to the door sign to finish it off.
