This is a great idea for an item we may all have around the house - old VHS covers! What a great idea from Andrew using Steampunk Spells.

"With the advent of DVDs and the digital movie age I have been replacing my video movies with more updated versions. I tried to give the videos to good will but they did not want them. I thought I have all these video boxes it seemed a waste to throw them away : the video box mini album was born and a great bonus the large tag staple made great pages. I will definitely be making more.

Tip: Trying altering the tag staples to discover new ways to make mini album pages more interactive." ~Andrew

We love this altered bottle Donna made for Halloween using Steampunk Spells. What perfect home decor!

"First time to make this project and I love how it turned out. Spray-painted the bottle with the help of my hubby (the fumes of the spray paint not suitable for pregnant women). The tricky part is adhering the stickers onto the bottle. So far the glue gun is doing it's part (checked as of this writing, and it's been days). Of course you can use your trusted adhesive for this kind of project. I just clustered different fussy cut elements from different Steampunk papers and adhered a flat stick (which I got from Starbucks! :D) to the back. Tied ribbons and used a couple of chipboard embellishments to add interest. Bottom part of the bottle is wrapped washi tape and cardstock stickers."~Donna

Great idea to use a vhs box. Can you show us how you put the ring binder onto the box?

Congratulations, Barbara! Enjoy your prize package! Today's projects are fantastic as always!

Andrew, what a brilliant idea. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love this great way to recycle VHS tape containers! Thanks so much for showing us this project! Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween and fun projects also.
Great way to end the week.

Andrew came up with a great one here. I know I'll make some! His will probably be the most pinned this weekend I bet.

Lov, love, love! Your papers are so perfect for these projects!

Boy do i have alot of these VHS covers. I did throw some away, but still have some left. Great way to use them. Thanks for sharing such a good idea.

Crazy for Steampunk!!! The colors in this collection are so striking.

Congrats to Andrew on finding a terrific use for old vhs boxes. A fantastic idea!!! TFS!!!

Congrats to winner Barbara.
Oh gosh, I have also kept vhs boxes to alter but mine are the slip cover type. Andrew's is brilliant & looks like the mini album was meant to be inside! The altered bottle looks fab, such fun. I did use 2 of the 6x6 solids & patterns pad the other day for a card. Still hoarding the 12x12s as only own 3 sheets. Couldn't do it, couldn't cut into ~ not just for a card? Goodness No?! Lol. ..
Amazing week here!

I really love Andrews VHS boxes! I am in the process of learning to make a mini album. Just learning all this magic. I am a big fan of G45 and hope that I get a chance to win some sneak peek papers!! Congrats to Barbara her win! Have fun.

Andrew ROCKS! Love this idea and am going to have to dig out some of my VHS boxes so I can give this a try! TFS!

Gads, just when you think you are going to finally get rid of all the VHS boxes, you get a darling use for them. Lol!
