Nichola amazes us with a Jane Austen inspired hat box, slippers, and shoebox. Her imagination and creativity knows no bounds!
"I’ve been wanting to create a Jane Austen inspired something for a while. What started out as a quest to make a paper bonnet quickly grew to include a hat box, slippers and shoe box. The slippers are a variation of a pattern by Glenda Waterworth. The boxes are simple square and round boxes I crafted to size (which is actually pretty darned small). As a jumping off point I chose ‘Robin’s Egg’ from Cordinations Signature Series Graphic 45 Lights and coordinated with several papers from Botanical Tea." ~Nichola

"The inspiration for this project was the Core’dinations cardstock colours. The Graphic 45 signature series colours are wonderful to use and I love how they are a perfect match with Graphic 45 paper collections. I have demonstrated this through the use of 6 different collections and the cardstock colours I think match best. I also asked my children what their favorite colours were and made a tag with a photo of each of them.
Tip: When using dies with open sections you use contrasting cardstock colours on the back of the die cut images as I have on the picture wheel used on these tags." ~Andrew

Wouldn't you love to receive this beautiful card? Lori tells you the inspiration for this beautiful Baby 2 Bride card below.
"My neighbors are expecting their first little girl and I knew I wanted to make them a card to congratulate their family. I couldn’t think of a more perfect collection to use “Baby to Bride” to create for them a heartfelt wish. I can’t wait to hold their new little bundle of joy, soon enough.
I like to layer my projects and a great way to add that extra layering detail is with Core’dinations paper. The colors match Graphic 45 collections making it super easy to blend together. I used an embossing folder on the Core’dinations paper and then sanded to really make the embossed portion pop. It takes a plain sheet of paper and turns it’s into a real WOW. The chubby little babies were then fussy cut and layered over the paper along with some various embellishments. I also finished off the interior of my cards as I always want the inside to be pretty like the outside." ~Lori
