You will be dazzled by this gorgeous altered matchbook box by Rhea. So much beautiful, snowy, glittering texture. What a beauty! Bring on the snow, winter (but not too much...).
"For this little piece of seasonal fun, I created a snowy piece with a ton of texture. The paper is from Time to Flourish, the icy blue and deep reds being perfect for a winter scene. The matchbook box was perfect to create a niche for the tree and hillside. I used stickels for a sparkle effect and added even more dimension with Liquitex medium, which I slathered all over this project. At first I was really nervous I would be messing up all my hard work by adding so much medium over the paper base. I am pleased with how it all turned out. It was a great lesson in taking risks while creating. Cheers!" ~Rhea

Nichola took a stamping challenge outside of her comfort zone and made something truly stunning! She reminds us there are so many possibilities with stamps. Enjoy her Snapguide to accompany this beautiful crown.
"I am not a stamper. When challenged to create a project or share tips using stamping techniques I was seriously scratching my head. Then I realized I do stamp… just not on paper! I’ve made a stash of stamped paperclay embellishments with Botanical Tea cling stamps. Paperclay is great fun to work with and one of my very favourite materials, but I’m sure you could do the same with polymer clay. In the future I’m sure these will find their way into some of my mixed media pieces, but one of my little friends had a dolly in urgent need of a paper crown and I am always willing to lend a hand in a doll emergency ;)" ~Nichola

Not heard of paper clay, hmmm...
Both projects are very creative, like the textures from all mediums. Not so sure about new way of competition entering though. Am I alone in this? Don't think so as seen others comment. The new year may see less of me visiting here. I know it won't make a difference to you with your hundreds of followers. But for me, times are a changing creatively. I will still pop in but not necessarily every day.
Tfs...

I love altered art. There are so many objects that can be changed into something new and exciting just by covering them with G45 papers and embellishments.
