Cards, Cards, Cards with Graphic 45!

Monday is a great day to start with cards and cardmaking. Today, we have inspiration for Valentine's Day and beyond! We have two beautiful shares from Katie Zoey Ho and Andrew Roberts. Katie even provides a tutorial for her gorgeous work. You will leave ready for another creative week, G45ers!

We have a Valentine's Day giveaway today at the end of the blog, so make sure to take part!

First, we have this gorgeous set of cards by Katie using Botanical Tea. We love this amazing idea that you can read all about here:

"Reviving this almost-forgotten historical Victorian Valentine tradition, these puzzle purses were popular from 1720 to 1840. 19th century lovers penned down messages on papers and folded them into these purses and sent as love notes… Puzzle purses are folded origami-style envelope-like box packet, which unfolds into a star, revealing either a romantic poem, love messages or even trinkets to a lock of a sweetheart’s hair. I find these purses very romantic and interesting, and I decided to remake them as cards making traditional cardmaking an unusual one, unique in a way..." ~Katie

Now, Andrew shares amazing Home Sweet Home cards! Take it away, Andrew:

"My inspiration for these two cards was the wonderful array of images that were available in the home sweet home collection. This collection is for anyone who loves all things country. There are strong colours, wonderful themed images and it opens your imagination when creating. It also has potential for masculine themed creations which I love. Step into the country life and create.

Tip: Try layering different papers from the collection in decreasing sizes to draw the eye to the image or message used on the front of the card." ~Andrew

I simply love the puzzle purse cards and how they bring back the Victorian Era (which in my opinion has the most beautiful Valentines). Thank you for the tutorial, I'll definitely be making some :-)

I'm so inspired by Katie's Snap Guide and YouTube that I'm going out to the craft room to create these with the few remaining sheets of Sweet Sentiments for my family. Totally awesome. Thank you.
