Times Nouveau Vintage Cars Card 2

The National Craft Month fun continues with a great interview with Ginny Nemchak today! Ginny is one crazy talented designer, and we are so excited to give you a closer look at her amazing creations. Don't forget to stay until the end of the blog where we announce this week's blog giveaway winner! Fun, fun, fun!

An Interview with Ginny Nemchak

1. Why do you craft?

I’m pretty sure I craft because I can’t do math.  Just kidding...no really.  I’ve been aware that there is a great amount of stress relief gained by sitting and cutting out a stack of flowers or layering paper patterns. Expressing my creativity is a way of telling my story….making something beautiful is leaving my mark on the world...Ginny was here..so there was cards.

2. What do you feel is your crafting forte?

I love all types of paper crafting...but creating cards really gets me fired up.

3. What inspires and motivates you to be creative?

I am inspired by just about everything..sometimes it’s a need to make something pretty...or practical...or whimsical.  Seeing beautiful paper patterns like Graphic 45 gets my head spinning with ideas...I never really “see” it in it’s entirety ...I see how many pieces I can cut it in to and reassemble it to tell a different story.

4. What do you do with your projects once they're complete?

I have many vintagy shelves in my studio so I can display my projects...it’s very inspiring to    work surrounded by paper pretties.   Lot’s of my projects find forever homes with someone else...it’s nice to think something you put your heart and soul into is making someones day.

5. What is the funniest craft disaster you've ever had?

I have made more left handed cards than I would like to admit...and glued myself to the table a time or two.  I try to look at disasters as “Opportunities to be Creative” Sometimes you have add flowers to something to mask a big glue glob or a paper piece cut too short.

They are always "Opportunities to be Creative!" Love this, Ginny. Thanks for this great interview!
