Send Cards this National Craft Month
Cards are a perfect canvas to tackle if your crafting mojo is feeling low. Also, there is always someone celebrating a birthday, wedding, anniversary, job, baby, or more that would love a handmade card, so that can be a great incentive to create one! Today, we have some gorgeous ideas from Lori Williams and Ginger Ropp. Lori even has a tutorial for her Once Upon a Springtime card!
Lori created this spring-ready card and we are in love! Make it yourself with her Snapguide below!
"This was one of my all-time favorite collections from Graphic 45 and I’m so thrilled to be able to work with it again. This magical paper was perfect to create a glitter/pearl shaker card and I’ve got a tutorial to show you how to make your own shaker card. One of my design team members said it looked like the fairies were blowing bubbles and I loved her interpretation, so now when I look at my fairies that is all I see too. To me it just adds to the magic." ~Lori

I love these cards.. I just received my "once upon a time' collection in the mail yesterday, so excited !!

Beautiful cards. My favorite crafting tip? Use tweezers to place small bling on cards. A lot easier than using your fingers!

Don't be afraid to fail.

My crafting tip is to organize my embossing folders and stickers in binders using clear page protectors. You can easily flip through to find what you want!

My favorite crafting tip is maybe not for everyone but it has been so successful for me. I keep all of my collections in their own 2 gallon zip bag and then I hang the individual collections on a skirt/pants hanger in a closet. I have easy access to them and they are always so organized that it is a joy to grab a collection and get started on a new project.

Ginger's house card is lovely! Clean, simple lines, but says a whole lot without words!

My favorite crafting tip is to use a dental floss, the kind with the loop at one end and the two ends are together at the other end, to thread floss, ribbon, thread etc onto a needle and my crafting projects. Sometimes if I am just threading something simple like a button with ribbon...I just use the dental floss as my needle. So easy to pull things through and doesn't break easily like your standard wire needle threaders.

I have added a small bottle of hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol spray bottle into my carry tote. Hand sanitizer cleans up your acrylic stamping blocks and rubbing alcohol cleans up all that extra sticky, gummy stuff on your scissors. Even with all my titanium scissors, they still get all gummed up. In general rubbing alcohol is a good cleaner as it does wonders getting acrylic paint off clothing (and off your canvas)... I also have some in my studio at all times!

These cards are gorgeous. I just love Graphic 45 so much. I have lots of their packs of paper. We just moved and I can't wait to get all my crafting items unpacked so I can start crafting again.

Keep a few small boxes or baskets nearby to help keep you organized when you are working on a big project like a mini. I keep all the scraps in one basket, tags and chippies in little boxes. It makes it so much easier to find what I am looking for.

Love, love, love today's projects! My tip for the day: to remove a piece that has been taped down just slide dental floss underneath the piece and gently slide the floss back and forth to release the tape. The piece won't bend or tear and then it can be repositioned.
