"If I’ve to define myself, I’m an adventurer. In 2012 I started my first international adventure with Graphic45 (I’m from Spain), the two years when I was designer were incredible. This fact made Prima Marketing contact me to be part of their Educator program. The last year I started to make big workshops in big fairs and events at principal cities with my partners at Carrotcake. And now you can find me and my adventures at www.vintageodyssey.net " ~Alberto
Keep up with Alberto!
Alberto shares some gorgeous projects with us today. First, is a quintessential Alberto album. So classic, incredible, and dynamic. He used Artisan Style for this incredible project.
Next, Alberto wows with this incredible By the Sea printer's tray. We love the shells and embellishments he includes on this flawless project.

"Thank you Diane, Charee and Aimee for inviting me to continue to be an Ambassador for Graphic 45 here in the UK. After three fabulous years of crafting with the gorgeous collections Graphic 45 create I feel honored once again to be invited back to be part of such a wonderful family and fabulous paper collections.
I’ve been paper crafting for a little over four years but have always been fascinated by colour, texture and different mediums. Influenced by Mum and Nan who used to spend hours with me sewing, kitting and making paper and wool pompoms, I’ve touched on many crafts over the years from patchwork, dressmaking, knitting, cross stich, tapestry, Trapunto, quilting and Sugar Craft which I taught in evening classes at basic and advanced level for ten years at our local college. I qualified as a further education teacher during that time too.
Inspired by the old albums of family photos I used to browse through with my Nan I made my first album with the gorgeous Curtain Call collection back in January 2011 and that’s where my love affair with the gorgeously vintage designs Diane and her team create started. Hooked, and totally inspired by the detail in the papers and their vintage themes I used the Le Cirque collection for my next album, then Le Communiqué and, well the rest is history as they say.
Over the last four years I’ve shared my creativity with like minded crafters all over the world, changed from a 9 – 5 corporate day job to an all consuming creative one and, over the last year launched my own range of craft products. Here in the UK I run my own workshops and retreats, teach at craft shops around the country, demo at National Craft Shows and Trade Fairs and promote Graphic 45 on national television. I’ve got to meet so many lovely people along the way too. It’s an incredibly rewarding life style change and one I’m really enjoying too.
My design strengths cover three areas:
Designing Projects to teach on line -
I love teaching and the web enables me to teach to crafters around the world.
I love taking a paper collection and designing photograph albums/memory books, (which is where I started), creating an album in a way that appeals to other crafters and providing easy to follow video led workshops on how to make them. These can be followed no matter where you are.
I’m sharing my latest album designed using the Precious Memories collection. It combines all the paper pads, chipboard and pockets and tags from the collection and was designed on a blue background to show off the colours in the papers. The key feature in all my albums is always being able to add full sized photo to the pages.

Designing projects for one-day workshops
Making something too complicated can turn what’s supposed to be a fun and relaxed day out into a really stressful one, so with that in mind I design projects that are achievable in the time we have, affordable within the budget for the class, suitable for crafters of all levels with simple variations on pages if we’re making an album. I try to keep a theme running through the pages so it can be easily remembered for cutting out too.
This is one of my latest class projects – a mini flip flap album altered with papers from the Raining Cats and Dogs 8 x 8 pad. It has a couple of page variations, a fun closure on the front and can hold lots of those tags we all love to make.

10 sheets black A4 card
One 8 x 8 Raining Cats and Dogs Pad

Designing Craft Kits
Over the last year I’ve turned some of the deign projects made during my time on the Graphic 45 Design Team into craft kits and added a few new designs to my range as well. I love taking pieces of chipboard and creating three dimensional projects that can be altered in the gorgeous papers Graphic 45 give us to craft with.
The Bureau below is the latest addition to my range, and has been altered in papers from the Artisan Style collection. I love the theme and colour combination in this collection. The bureau itself has been altered in 12 x 12 papers and the mini album inside with 8 x 8 and patterns and solids papers.

Clare is a great teacher and I am proud to call her my friend. She never get flustered when people keep asking her questions. Her projects are always an inspiration and we always have a wonderful time at her workshop and retreats.

I so enjoy seeing Clare's mini albums...every page is created with such sophistication and obvious love of G45 paper collections. I really appreciate that she designs pages to hold 4"x 6" photos...no cropping necessary. So glad to see her back for another year of beautiful projects. Looking forward to seeing what Alberto contributes this year, too.
