Next, we have this altered old book with incredible fussy cutting. This project is so dynamic and she truly made her project jump off the page! How inspiring.
"I decided to altered an old book that my mother gave to me. I really like to work with older items and give them new life. This old book hopped off of the shelf and into my heart.
I used lots and lots of fun layers using images from Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments, Time to Flourish, Botanical Tea, A Ladies' Diary and Once Upon a Springtime collections. This just goes to show that keeping your scraps really pays off! lol.
I have created a photo tutorial to show you the steps I took along the way to create this lovely layered project." ~Robin

This project is a little different as it has no inking. I think this is the first time I didn’t distress or ink…I just kept it sweet and simple as I wanted the beautiful images from the papers to speak for themselves." ~Robin

Robin shows us her talent for 3D projects with this altered Couture record player. What an awesome piece!
"I found this fabulous 1960's record player last summer at an antiques shop for only $15! She was old, drab and rusty just waiting for a new friend.
I started by painting her black, then I began to add lots of yummy layers using the Couture collection. I created special scene of lovely ladies revolving on the turn table. I also wanted to showcase a different way to use the alphabet stickers from the collection so I added them one by one to the base of the turntable. It looks really cool when it spins. To add a finishing touch, I altered one of my old records from the 60's to make this project extra special." ~Robin

Your art work is stunning! I love every one of these! I was thinking about trying the one with the record player, but I don't think the close and play that I have would look as cool. LOL Hey, at least it still works and for the few actual records I own, it does the trick.
