Faber Castell & Graphic 45 Blog Hop: Day 2

DonnaEspiritu-GildedLily-FaberCastell-AlteredCanvas-01

It's Day 2 of our fabulous blog hop with Faber-Castell! Did you enjoy hopping yesterday? To our new visitors, welcome! We are so glad you hopped on over to our blog. So much inspiration awaits today - Tanya Dudkina, Donna Espiritu, and Lori Williams have it in spades. Enjoy these beautiful projects and stay until the end to hop on over to Faber-Castell's blog!

First, we have this amazing, textured layout by Tanya using Artisan Style and Faber-Castell gelatos! So gorgeous!

"Hi! I created a layout with my favorite tip. It’s really easy - I applied a bit of white gesso on one part of my layout, let it dry and then I chose my favorite Artisan Style stamp to make nice background. Now you can use your gelatos by Faber Castell to color your stamp just over the layer of gesso. Do you like this effect? I think it looks pretty original with this gorgeous paper! I also applied amazing Faber Castell whipped spackle and I love how it works with my embellishments." ~Tanya

Now, Donna has the most precious canvas to share. Take it away, Donna:

"I created the background by using a stencil and whipped spackle. Once dry, I rubbed a bit of gelato to the surface and misted some water for easy blending. I used my heat gun to help reduce drying time. Then I rubbed another color of gelato (from the steampunk set) to the raised areas to make it pop even more. I fussy cut lots of beautiful images from the papers of the Gilded lily collection and arranged it around my photo. I also used a stamp from the Precious memories collection for my title and around the photo as border." ~Donna

Lori shares how to make a beautiful altered box with stunning textured flowers using Faber-Castell. Enjoy her tutorial below!

"I love perusing through thrift stores and finding things that can be updated to make new and fun creations.  This is a box I picked up and adorned it with the Gilded Lily collection and it’s quite stunning now.  I made these beautiful flowers using Faber Castell’s gelatos and gesso and even created a tutorial so you can recreate them yourselves.  The box certainly looks regal with pearls, rhinestones, shimmer and lots of fussy cutting.  Now the trick is to figure out where to display this beauty.
