A Tribute to the Amazing Tanya Dudkina
Last week, we were all shocked with the heartbreaking news of Tanya Dudkina's passing. This amazing designer's heart stopped in the night and she did not awake the next day. We were shocked, saddened, and many people joined in our tears and grief. It is so hard to lose someone so young, talented, kind, and beautiful. At 23 years old, Tanya had talent that was beyond her years. Today, we post this blog in memory of our Design Team Member, Tanya Dudkina. Joining us in celebrating her life and her work.
Tanya shared these words about her life with us when she first joined the team. We thought it would only be fitting to share her beautiful life today. Stay until the end of the blog to see an unshared project by the incredible Tanya.
"Hi! My name is Tanya Dudkina. I’m Ukrainian living in Russia, Saint-Petersburg.
I’m 23, happily married scrapbooking online educator, who can not imagine this life without art and sun! My passion - altered art, this is what I’m really mad about. Actually I have a diploma in English translation - but my calling is creating and decorating and I’m happy I found myself.Scrapbooking has become my job now and that is really awesome, because everyday I meet so many amazing people and learn so many new things. My favorite style? I love all of them! I love experiments, I love paints and mixed media but as you already know most of all I love Graphic45 new collections. Did you ever notice they have amazing smell? )) Like you got a new so much desired book and just opened its first page.
Hope you will enjoy my projects because this is such a big honor for me to be in such an inspiring team! Wish you inspiration and all the best!" ~Tanya
We wanted to share many of her projects from her short time on her team. Each one was a breathtaking masterpiece - each and every one. Her love for life and for creativity shined through every single thing she created with Graphic 45 and many other companies.
"Hi! For my tutorial I created a sweet mini album with cute bunny ears. I think they make already gorgeous Graphic 45 Precious memories paper even more stunning! You can find bunny ear pattern in this post and try to use this tip in your projects. Hope enjoy my video and project!" ~Tanya
Tanya's Precious Memories Album Tutorial
Tanya always made such creative projects - like this Gilded Lily music box that also held threads and flowers, and the pretty little bits we design with as papercrafters.
"Hi! Today I want to share with you my new music box made of absolutely stunning Gilded lily collection. I decided that this paper really needs an awesome idea so my first thought was a music box. Why not? I made all the box from heavy chipboard and used a mechanism from toy music box from toys shop. You can see how it plays on video. Also there is a box inside where you can store small trinkets and paper flowers. Hope you like my idea and have a nice day!"
This tag album showed Tanya's bright and beautiful spirit. The cover says "The Fairy Life." She was truly a ray of sunshine. We know she is shining brightly above us now.
"Hi! Today I’m happy to share with you my video tutorial how to decorate Tag album by Graphic45 with the help of lace and amazing Once Upon a Springtime collection. My tip - use lace for background and you will get perfect look for you album. Let’s see how I made it in my tutorial/ Hope you enjoy my idea and create something really magical!"
Tanya's Once Upon a Springtime Video Tutorial
Tanya's Halloween album is a treasure! She adds so many layers and details that work so perfectly together and adds so many surprises to her projects. So inventive.
"Hi! Today I’m happy to share with you my not usual and a really rare travel mini album. I love the idea of making an album about a trip to a miracle or to a fairy tale. I made a wardrobe on the cover of my album and as soon as you open the album you appear in a little fairy tale. I’m going to add my Halloween Disneyland pictures and fill the album with my memories.
Hope you enjoy the idea of making a cardstock wardrobe on the cover. It’s really easy and looks like a little shadow box. Let’s have a look!"
In light of the tragedy in France, and the passing of Tanya on the same day, this project holds a significant resonance. May there be peace. Thank you for your time on the earth and for bringing beauty into everyone's life, Tanya.
"Hi! Today I’m all about making something useful and nice for my craft room. I decided to paint an old suitcase and add it more vintage and French look with the help of gorgeous Graphic 45 World’s fair collection. It took me an hour to alter it into a box for my threads and cross stitching stuff. Hope you enjoy a tutorial I prepared for you in case if you want to make something like this for you crafty goodies. Thanks for watching!"
We have one new project she created for us before her passing and it is our honor to share this unseen creation with you today.
"Hi! Today I’m super excited to share with you one of my favorite project of this year! This is a Christmas village which will be a central decor piece for my Christmas home decor. I love many details and I do really love to work with tiny pieces of paper so I decided to make as many interesting village details as it was possible. My tip for you - if you want to make a Christmas village make it in three steps. First - buy some chip and little railroad with locomotive - that will help to make village more interactive. I decided to choose a circled railroad which helped me to fit ,y village inside of this circle. Step two - with the help of plotter or just scissors - cut little houses and embellish them with snow and flowers (nice recipe for snow is - matte gel + any white glitter). Step three - pick some artificial green grass sheets (I found mine in a hobby store) and place all elements you have - little bridge from toys store, little houses, little horses or other animals, don’t forget about mailbox, Christmas tree and bushes. It’s so much fun to find all these details and transform them in a little world. I also made a video for you how it looks like when train is working.
Thanks for watching!!" ~Tanya

Thank you so much for this post! I know she was waiting impatiently to share with all of us this Village project. It's such a terrible tragedy... I still can't find enough words.
Tanya adored Graphic 45, and several years she tried the luck to be with you. Finally she did it. But it was too short... And it helps a little to think that this one of her most desired goals in her creative life was acomplished.

Her creations were always beautiful and innovative. She was a bright, happy light in our creative corner of the world.
My heart and love go out to her family. The world is a little less bright without such a creative, nice human being.
