It's 50 Days until Christmas!
It's 50 days until Christmas! Can you believe it? Don't worry, we will be doing plenty of celebrating Thanksgiving and gratefulness, but we know for the crafter, the holiday creating starts now! Today, we have two fabulous ideas for you from Lori Williams and Maggi Harding. For those of you who make your holiday cards, you will love today's post!
First, Lori shares how to make this gorgeous fancy fold bendi card! She uses A Christmas Carol to make this memorable card. What a keepsake!
"One of the things I love about fancy fold cards are they make such a statement. They generally aren’t that difficult but when displayed they appear to be more of a work of art than just a card. I love that. People can display them and cherish the work for a long time inside of just tucking the card away in a drawer to be long forgotten. Graphic 45 works so well with folded cards because their images fussy cut give that extra wow factor. This is a simple card to create and I made a tutorial to show you how simple it is. Once you have the base complete the fun really begins with adding images, stickers, chipboard or whatever else your mind can imagine. " ~Lori

What a beautiful easel card by the masterful Maggi! Check out this creation:
"I like to make a few special Christmas cards for my friends that I know will appreciate a handmade card. This one is an easel card and I've filmed a video to show you how easy these cards are to make. As usual, I've used a lot of diecuts on my card, if you don't have similar dies, you can substitute basic square or rectangle shapes.
Tip: You can create this card and many others simply by purchasing just the Graphic 45 Ephemera Cards and the 6 x 6 Patterns and Solids pad along with any cardstock. The best thing is that the images in the Ephemera Cards give you a quick, but pretty card front. Embellish with hand made flowers or a bit of ribbon and you've got all you need for a set of cards." ~Maggi

Where's Maggi's video?? I guess she posted it on her blog? I'll have to track it down to see how she created her fabulous card:)

Lori - the bendi card is fantastic. Do you put it in an envelope flat? Could you put a "1" on the first tab and slit and "2" on the second to help the person receiving it put it together?
Maggi - the card is so pretty. I love that ribbon. The bow just makes this card even more beautiful.
Thank you both for such pretty creations.
