Creative Inspiration with Graphic 45
Today, we have two incredibly awesome projects from Maggi Harding and Jim, the Gentleman Crafter! We're so excited about them, we're just going to go ahead and jump into the fun!
First, Maggi shares her inspiration for 2016. What an awesome fussy cut masterpiece!
"When tasked to design a project that would remind and inspire me to grow creatively, I immediately thought of the World's Fair collection as it has so many great inspiration words, quotes, and images. I call this piece, "Think Outside the Box, Use a Wagon".
My mind sort of wandered over to the "Think Outside the Box" idea of the words and quotes sticking out, i.e. thinking outside, of a Staples Matchbook box in the wagon. I took the drawer out of the box and covered both pieces with design paper and used as anchors for my words and images that I glued onto wooden skewers. Unfortunately, the boxes got a little lost amidst all the embellishments but you can see them and the construction in the photo I took from the back.
My tip for today: Think outside the box, let your mind wander and don't be boxed in by what is typically thought of as "the way you should do it." ~Maggi

This project was an absolute hit at the Graphic 45 CHA Booth this past week! See it here - it's a working Gentleman Fish Rider by the amazing Jim, the Gentleman Crafter!
"This is such a fun project…Inspired directly by the Gentleman Fish Rider in the paper collection. I thought, let’s see if we can make it…then, let’s see if we can make it move…And It Does! By turning the geared knob at the front, this turns the larger gear on the inside, which allows the Gentleman’s arms to move up and down as he is riding the fish with the reigns…Such a blast to make!" ~Jim, the Gentleman Crafter
