Incredible Communique Albums!
Communique is now a Deluxe Collector's Edition, and our designers are making incredible things with these papers and chipboard and stickers! Danielle Copley and Robin Shakoor have two stunning Communique projects that are absolutely amazing.
First, Danielle has the best upcycling tutorial for an old cassette tape. You will love this!
"In preparation for a move, I was reorganizing the garage and came across some old cassettes. I thought it would be fun to show them to \pmy kids and then toss them, but before tossing them it popped into my head that I should save them for a crafty project yet to be determined. Coincidentally, this month celebrates Earth Day and I figured now was the time to give those old cassettes a new life. Communique was the perfect collection to use with these cassettes tapes as mini album covers. I made little pocket pages and some tags for them using Graphic 45 Staples packaging. So, if you are intrigued and have some old cassettes stashed away or can find some at a thrift store, I have a snapguide tutorial to help you construct your very own #uniquepapercrafting project!
Tip 1: Tie your album and pages together slightly loose to allow some room for adding tags and embellishments.
Tip 2: Can’t find cassettes in the right base color? Paint them! Clear ones would be super fun, too!" ~Danielle

Now, Robin shares her love of our new Square Tag Albums and Communique!
"I love to alter books and the Square Kraft Tag & Pocket Album is my favorite thus far! It has lots of pockets for tags, photos, keepsakes and more! I adorned the outside of the book with images from the “Communique” Deluxe Collector’s Edition.
I decorated pages, but I decided to keep most of the photo mats simple to allow for various sizes of future photos. I used square policy envelopes on the pages next to the pockets. I trimmed the tops of each using decorative scissors. This allows for the gorgeous design on the front of the envelopes to be seen and allows for extra photos and keepsakes.
I added rose trim to the spine of my book. I used a colored spray to change the color of the trim from white to black. I finished my design my creating lots of beautiful tags for the pocket.
Tip: Use colored sprays to color ribbon. This allows you to transform ribbon that you may already have to coordinate with that special project." ~Robin
