Get Creative with Graphic 45 DIY Craft Rolls!
It's a great Monday for amazing upcycling ideas from our Design Team! Alexandra Morein and Sandy Trefger share amazing projects with us today. You will love what they do with our DIY Craft Rolls! Also, it's Monday, so we have a new blog contest, and it's an awesome one! So, make sure to stay until the end of the blog.
First, Alexandra shares 3 awesome ideas with our DIY Craft Rolls and old pieces around her house!
"This was my first time working with the DIY paper, but I need to mention that I enjoyed it a lot! The paper is thin and easy to work with, it is very compliant and gets easily into the corners or seems of anything you might be working on.
The colors and patterns are beautiful and perfectly match other Graphic 45 paper collections.
The three items that I want to share today are as follows:
- An altered storage box
- An upcycled candy tube
- And upcycled tube from the cling wrap
You can find more details and a link to the video tutorial which I used for creating a kaleidoscope on my blog." ~Alexandra
Supply List
DIY Craft Paper-Curiosity Collage & Butterflies
DIY Craft Paper-Architecture & Alphabet
DIY Craft Paper-Bicycles & Polka Dots
Clock Metal keys
Metal Door Pulls
ATC Red Policy Envelopes
Now, Sandy has a great project and video tutorial - A Ladies' Diary tea tray! Isn't this perfect?
"I love to shop at our local antique mall where you can find lots of things antique, vintage, gently used and lots of things for upcycling. On a recent trip, I was excited to find the perfect picture frame with the glass not broken to upcycle into a tea tray. Not only did I find the frame but I also found the ornate drawer pulls for the handles of the tray and an adorable teapot. And all for less than $5.00! The Graphic 45 DIY Craft Paper was incredibly easy to use to decoupage the frame. Now I have a beautiful tea serving tray that I can leave out on our coffee table or use to serve ice tea outside on a hot summer day here in Texas.
Tip: I love fussy cutting images from paper but sometimes, especially with butterflies, it is hard to not cut away their antennae. If this happens, simply take some black sewing thread and glue two short pieces on to the back of the butterfly where the antennae should be. Trim the thread to the right length to have perfect butterfly antennae." ~Sandy
