It's Summer! Let's head to the beach!

Summer Banner, Voyage Beneath the Sea, by Sandy Trefger, Product by Graphic 45, Photo 3

It's summer - the perfect season for beach trips and vacations and lounging poolside. Today, we have perfect summer ideas from the amazing Sandy Trefger and Katelyn Grosart. Get ready for some summer fun!

First, Sandy stuns with a brilliant Summer banner using our Alpha Banner Staples!

"The Graphic 45 Alphabet Banners in any size, but especially the cute ATCs, is an easy way to make a quick banner decoration in an hour or less!  I created this one to hang on my mantel in the living room to celebrate summer and I loved the colors of the 6x6 Voyage Beneath the Sea Patterns & Solids paper—such wonderful summery colors that go perfectly with the Red ATC banner tags.  The alphabet letters are pre-cut on the tags and you can easily back the tags with paper to add more color.

Tip:

When making banners, tie a knot in the ribbon or string at each banner tag and space the tags out equally on the string.  Fill in between the tags with several pieces of ribbon or narrow strips of fabric and allow the fabric to fray to make your banner fuller.  Add smaller paper banners between the tags and decorate with pinwheels made from coordinating paper and punched flowers." ~Sandy

Graphic 45 Voyage Beneath the Sea, Patterns & Solids 6x6
Graphic 45 Voyage Beneath the Sea Chipboard 2
Flower Punch
Circle Punch, ½”
Cord or Ribbon, approx. 1 ½ yards
Ric-Rac Ribbon
Ribbon or Fabric Strips
Ranger Distress Ink, Gathered Twigs

Now, Katelyn shares gorgeous Voyage Beneath the Sea tags! Aren't these magical?

"July for me signifies the start of the summer and heading to the beach even though the first official day of summer is in June and here in Calgary, Canada, we have had summer weather since May.  My beach themed tags, are perfect to dress up a gift bag or give as a card to a family member or friend. By mixing the different patterns from the Voyage Beneath the Sea paper pad, it gives each tag a unique look. When the tags are side by side they compliment each other beautifully. Hopefully these tags will inspire you to dig into your paper stash and create a few of your own.

Tip: Add Glossy Accents to eyes and other parts of the images on the tags to highlight certain areas.

Tip: To get the base paper on the tag to go around the eyelet at the top, use a ½” circle punch to punch a hole. That way the paper will go right over top of the eyelet." ~Katelyn
