Clever Ideas with Safari Adventure!
It's a beautiful day to take a Safari Adventure! Check out these awesome projects from Kathy Clement and Einat Kessler. You will leave wanting to create with this incredible collection.
First, we have this Zoo Party Ensemble by the incredible Kathy! Tell us all about it:
"Our three grandgirls are wild about animals! To celebrate a recent birthday, the family visited a local wild animal park and petting zoo where the girls had the chance to not only see some exotic animals but interact with them as well. They loved feeding the giraffe, and the expressions on their faces were so priceless I just had to capture them in this little mini album.
Then I thought how cute would this all be made up into a zoo themed birthday party ensemble? You can’t have a really good party without a banner, invites and table decor.
The Kraft Alpha tags are a perfect way to make quick and stylish banners. They are easily customized to match any color scheme.
Invites were made with small paper bags and ephemera cards from the collection.
The little beach cabana huts were easily transformed into jungle huts by adding thatched roofs and 12x12 Prints and Patterns paper.
The end result is a super cute ensemble that sets the stage for fun and adventure.
Designer Tips:
- To make thatched roofs, tear strips of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink, then snip along one side with fringe scissors. Cut to fit the width of the roof and glue on in layers.
- Trace Kraft Alpha tags onto printed paper, then use a craft knife to cut out the letters. Glue over the top of the alpha tags to create custom tags that match your decor. Back with more designer paper and trace the inside of the letters with a black sharpie pen to make them pop.Paint the edges with Black Soot Distress Paint." ~Kathy

Now, Einat shares the most awesome pocket scrapbooking page using Safari Adventure!
"I just can’t stop playing with the Safari Adventures collection! It takes me back to the time I lived in Kenya. Every detail on these papers is real for me because I’ve seen it…in real life. One of the most amazing places in Kenya was 15 minutes from my home: The Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. This sanctuary treats orphan baby elephants rescued from the wild. Our visit there was a lifetime experience that we’ll never forget and well worth an entire page! The photo on the page is of the baby elephants and their handlers who takes care of them all day and sleep on a blanket with them at night.
Tip #1: When creating a pocket page it’s best to use a 12x12 page and cut to pieces in order to create continuity and flow of the design.
Tip #2: The openings of the pockets allow you to add flaps. Flaps will add more photo and journaling spaces as well as interest to the page." ~Einat

The Safari Adventures paper collection reminds me of when I spent three months in Northern Africa as an exchange student. It was the best time of my life. I'd love to win this collection so I could re-scrap the photos taken while in Tunisia.

I just love Graphic 45 for all my projects but when I saw this Safari, I knew I was going to love it! I was just on vacation in Jacksonville, FL and drove all the way to a little store, A Small Cleverness and bought all the supplies to make cards from your tutorial sheet which they let me see. Great collection and I can't wait to play with it! Great ideas from today's post especially for that!
