Graphic 45 Goes Back to School!
It's already back-to-school time for many of us here in the United States - it seems to be earlier and earlier every year! With the hustle and bustle starting up again, we have some great ideas for this busy time of year. Keep things fun and organized! Lena Astafeva and Sandy Trefger have ideas AND tutorials to show you how!
First, Lena made this for her son to keep each day organized. How great is this?
"Back to School. I made a school timetable. This timetable I will give to my son.
My timetable in frame. We can write with chalk on the tags. I’ll show you how to make school timetable of the lessons quickly and simply" ~Lena

Sandy has a great idea for a teacher gift with a bonus project using our DIY Craft Rolls! You are going to love her fabulous ideas.
"A fun, cute and useful Back to School Teacher gift can be quickly created in 60 minutes or less with a small clipboard, memo pad, pencils, ribbon and some lovely Graphic 45 papers and embellishments. I was inspired to create this project after seeing a clipboard with matching pencils at a department store. I decided to buy a blank kraft clipboard, a junior legal pad and some pencils to make one Graphic 45 style. I looked to the September Montage paper in the 12x12 Children’s Hour collection for paper that had school vibes and then paired that with other papers from the collection as well as 8x8 papers from the in complimentary, smaller prints to wrap my pencils. These clipboards would oh so cute for any occasion. Happy Crafting! ~ Sandy
Bonus Back to School Project:
To decorate your desk or a shelf for Back to School, wrap several hardback books with the fabulous Graphic 45 DIY Craft Paper Rolls. It’s super quick and easy! Lay out the paper, place your opened book on the paper and trim the paper to the size needed, about 2” taller on each end of your book and 2” on each side. Fold the paper to fit and tuck the side flaps into the front and back cover of the book. No need to tape or glue down. Stack several wrapped book together and tie with button string or ribbon if desired.
Tip #1:
An easy way to tie a large bow out of ribbon that is one sided is to loop the bow to the size desired (do not tie it), allow for the tails and hold it all together with your hand. Then take some button string or other string and tie it tightly over the center of the bow. Finish it off by concealing the string with an element such as a Graphic 45 chipboard button.
Tip #2:
When wrapping pencils with decorative paper, it is best if you sharpen the pencil before wrapping it. Use a piece of sandpaper or a sanding tool and gently sand off any of the pencil “paint” that might show after you wrap it with paper. This way you will only see the wood color of the pencil between the paper and the sharpened end." ~Sandy
