"I like creating many layers on my card. I really like when some of the layers or embellishments pop up on the background. Sometimes I use the cardboard pieces to mount all the layers and a glue, but actually it’s much more faster to use the runner tape, especially in dispenser and foam squares, as they already have the adhesive on their surface. It’s quite important when the tape is quite sticky and it keeps many layers evenly.

And the foam pads is a great rescue, when you need to pup up some narrow pieces of you die cut elements.

"This week we are having a blog hop with Scrapbook Adhesives. Using a candleholder from Ikea, I decorated the inside and outside using the newly released Café Parisian collection. To add some extra interest within the paper, I added in some shabby chic metal keys. To adhere my paper and keys to my candleholder, I used some fabulous products from Scrapbook Adhesives. Tip: By adhering some of the layered elements with Crafty Foam Tape and other elements using the thin foam squares, it creates even more dimension on your piece.

This is such a great hostess gift idea or idea to bring along for Thanksgiving! Sandy Trefger shares a wonderful wine bottle tag using Botanicabella. Love it!

"I was inspired by a vintage floral bouquet to dress up a wine bottle for a hostess thank you gift. It was so easy to create a beautiful and quick fall tag out of the Botanicalbella Graphic 45 papers and chipboard embellishments. You just need to measure the length of your bottle for the tag and allow space at the top to score it so it bends just below the neck of the bottle. A 1 ½” circle die or punch is the perfect size to create the hole in the tag for the neck of the bottle. I love how this turned out and while I’ve made it as a thank you gift; I’m tempted to keep it to decorate my own dining room table. Happy Crafting!" ~Sandy

Tip: When creating projects like this wine tag holder, you might want a specific or different type of flower. A good way to add small, unique flowers to your crafting stash is to purchase small floral bouquets of vintage flowers at an antique mall or shop. Simply cut off the flowers and blossoms that you need and use an adhesive such as the Scrapbook Adhesives Crafty Foam Tape to attach the flowers to your project.

Start Your Holiday DIY cards with St. Nicholas!

"Christmas is another one of my favorite times of the year and I love to give special cards especially to my husband’s Aunt Mary. She loves Christmas too and even though she will be 93 this year, she still decorates her beautiful Christmas tree. For this card, I decided to make it a double pop up with two sections to the card and of course to create and put it inside a special box. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and this St Nicholas collection by Graphic 45 is so perfect for your special projects for the season. Happy Crafting!" ~ Sandy

Tip: When doing pop up elements such as those in this boxed Christmas card, fussy cut out the images you want to pop up and make sure that they do not pop out of the top or sides of your card when the card is closed. Plan the structure of your pop ups at different depths and heights to give the project dimension in some areas. Don’t be afraid to layer images over other images that have already been attached. Just make sure that everything pop up!
