"Not a long time is left till the New Year. Some people like to get everything ready ahead of time, including preparing the necessary holiday home décor.

I’ve decided to use the gorgeous paper of st. Nicholas collection for creating a candy vase/stand, which also has a place for a mini album at the bottom. I thought it could be nice to fill the album with the pictures from the previous New Year celebration and while eating some candies for dessert after a savory and tasty holiday meal, to flip through the album’s pages and get nostalgic ☺

Besides the fabulous paper, I’ve used the Petaloo Flowers to embellish the candy vase. I totally fell in love with the Botanica Collection flowers, they look almost real!

Xyron adhesives helped me to complete the project. The Mega Runner glue was perfect for quick and effective gluing the designer papers to the album’s base pages, the 1” sticker maker was great for applying glue on to thin decorative strips of paper, while the 3” sticker maker was simply fantastic for making the ATC ephemera cards sticky.

As you can see, the album doesn’t have any bulky embellishments on the cover. I wanted to make sure though, that the paper cutouts which I used on the cover will be glued down perfectly on every single millimeter if their surface. This is where the 3” sticker maker came super handy." ~Alexandra

Tip 1: Use ribbon or lace for hiding the connecting seams between the parts of your paper project.

Tip 2: Never throw away the left over paper until you’re perfectly sure that there are no more elements which can be cut out from it. Sometimes those teeny tiny pieces (like leaves, candies, flowers etc) can help you make the project more detailed and beautiful.

I think I already posted on this project and giveaway, but it's just a beautiful project. Is there directions anywhere where we could mimic this project perhaps? Love it

Fabulous and fun projects! Love them both!

Both projects are beautiful! Alexandra your description of using the Xyron 1 inch and 3 inch to create stickers and gluing for the backs of delicate pieces and ephemera cards makes me really interested in having these tools. Thanks to these three great companies for this awesome blog hop!

Thank you to both crafters - these are stunning and what a lot of work has gone into them.
