Celebrate Valentine's Day with Nature Sketchbook!
Our creative designers now take Nature Sketchbook to make gorgeous Valentine's Day projects! Kathy Clement and Nico Scrap have awesome ideas + tutorials for us today that will take your breath away! Let's take a look at Kathy's amazing Valentine's project:
"I love Valentine’s Day! What’s not to love about a day that focuses on love, pretty cards and chocolate? Growing up, Valentine’s Day had special significance in our family as Mom and Dad eloped on Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t get any more romantic than that! Every year, my dad gave my mom a beautiful Valentine/Anniversary card and more often than not, butterflies could be found on it. You see, the very first card my dad ever gave my mom when they were courting had beautiful butterflies on the front cover, so butterflies became a symbol of their love for one another.
When the gorgeous Nature Sketchbook collection was released with all those fabulous butterflies, I just knew I had to use it to create a butterfly themed Valentine in tribute to my mom and dad. I created a little Valentine wallet with a pair of long policy envelopes, and then added some sweet surprises to make it worthy of the holiday. I hope you enjoy!" ~Kathy
Tip: Staples long tags fit perfectly inside the Long Policy Envelopes. Create your own custom background by stamping a black tag with white pigment ink and embossing with super fine white embossing powder.
Tip: Add shimmer to your tag by spritzing it with Glimmer Mist. The stamped/embossed areas will resist the spray. But if you reheat the embossing powder lightly, the color beads will sink in, leaving lovely inky splatters behind.
Tip: Create a gift wallet by joining two policy envelopes together with washi tape.
Tip: Create a custom string tie by hot gluing chipboard buttons over the black ones found on the policy envelope.
Tip: Create an inside pocket by cutting a policy envelope along one seam. I show you how to do this in the Snapguide Tutorial for this project.
Tip: Customize metals by painting them with Black Soot Distress Paint

So she decided to give some of those wooden hearts to me for make some Valentine’s day creation and that’s why i have decorated it!
