Brilliant Boxes with Portrait of a Lady
We are LOVING your creative ideas with our new collections, G45ers! Today, Maggi Harding and Nico Scrap show off their brilliant ideas with Portrait of a Lady. You will fall in love with Maggi's altered hat box and Nico Scrap's gorgeous shadow box. Take a look at all the fun:
"It's no secret that I love to make hats; you've probably seen a few of my hats on the Graphic 45 blog in the last two years! But I thought that my hats need to have a purpose so I designed this hat that is really a 4" cylindrical box. The box makes a great gift - how about some pretty jewelry inside for Mom on Mother's Day? Or some chocolates, I know that my Mom would love that!" ~Maggi
Hat Gift Box Snapguide Tutorial
Tip: In my Snapguide I've given the measurements for a 4" cylindrical box, but you can easily alter this to fit any size round box. Just cut the brim circumference about 2" wider than the box circumference. If you're using a large box you might want the brim a little wider.

Nico Scrap combines his beautifully vintage grunge look with Portrait of a Lady to make a spectacular shadow box!
"You know, everybody has a secret and every lady has a secret! That’s the idea of my project for you! ...the outside of the box represents the body of the lady and the inside is her soul! So, with this box a lady can give herself to someone, body and soul! In the inside, as representation of the soul I’ve used a resin heart painted with rich colors as gold and black with lot of sparkles to give the idea of the 'richness' of every woman spirit.on the outside I’ve used lot of flowers, a little bottle of perfume to give the idea of the ephemeral part of every lady." ~Nico Scrap
