Stunning Ideas with Secret Garden
We are so glad that Secret Garden is back as a Deluxe Collector's Edition! It's such a perfect Spring collection full of beautiful light and airy colors. Today, Sandy Trefger and Lena Astafeva share two fabulous ideas and tutorials with this great collection! Let's get into it:
"I love to create something out of items you normally throw away. One evening, I was having dinner out with the family at a local restaurant. On the table the silverware for each person was in these neat Kraft colored paper bags. There were four of us so of course when we took our silverware out of the paper bag I grabbed them all and used them to create this adorable mini album. The rustic look of the bags made me think of the outdoors and of springtime. Which then made me think of Graphic 45’s Deluxe Collector’s Edition, Secret Garden! I was excited to get started on it and more excited when it was finished. I hope I’ve inspired you to create something beautiful out of your “trash.” Happy Crafting!" ~Sandy
Sandy's Paper Bag Mini Album Tutorial
Tip: To create a mini album out of paper bags, use a bone folder to get a good, crisp edge anywhere you fold the bags. Also, trim off the ends of the bags if needed to get a more uniform size so your pages line up right. If your bags have some printed words or advertising on them, don’t consider them unusable. Most of it will be covered up with the pretty papers and embellishments and any that still shows just adds to the character of the album.
