Repurposed Odds and Ends: Vintage Hollywood DVD Box & Altered Craft Storage Cupboard
Hello, G45ers!
Graphic 45 is our name and unique papercrafting is our game. Today, we are diving in with two innovative crafting projects by Marina Blaukitchen and Olga Heldwein. First up, Marina shares a media storage case featuring Vintage Hollywood, perfect for DVDs or Blu-rays. This clever creation is full of thoughtful details including custom made Graphic 45 inserts for DVD sleeves and a little mini album, perfect for cinephiles to keep track of their favorite films. Next up, Olga shares an ambitious altered cupboard. This impressive invention features Olde Curiosity Shoppe - DCE and a lot of elbow grease! Olga's techniques could inspire a fun upcycling project if you have any shelves or dressers that could use some Graphic 45 flair. What a great way to store all those crafting supplies!
DVD Box Vintage Hollywood
By Marina Blaukitchen
"Sure you have favorite movies! You can make them have a special place with this little DVD file cabinet. I have also made a mini album to record important data from movies, reviews and even when I saw it for the first time!
If you love cinema this is your collection!" ~Marina Blaukitchen
Tips:
Take the measure of the DVD boxes to make sure they will fit with some slack in the filing cabinet. It is very uncomfortable to be too tight.
Make new dvd covers and add decorations or number the films according to your personal style.
This project can also be a nice gift for a movie lover or for Father’s Day. If you make it, do not forget to personalize it with your name or something special for that person, it will be a success.

Altered Cupboard
By Olga Heldwein
"This project took me ages to finish. I had to re-paint it and I sand it between layers of paint. To age my cupboard I used G45 Decades inks Venetian Lace, Dark Cashmere and Photogenic, I applied my inks with brushes and sealed the whole piece with a few layers of aging verniks – With time it vill get more vintage and some discoloration will appear. Inside my cupboard, I Use dome DIY paper and on the drawers, beautiful paper from Olde Curiosity Shoppe - Deluxe Collector's Edition pack. As a finishing touch, I added some staples. All other elements here are moldprints from my collection of silicone molds." ~Olga Heldwein
